Coffees on me!Couldn't be happier to buy 3 coffees for Simso and ....can't remember the other 2!!Only joking at the next meet up (probably in March?) all coffees and cakes on me !!Not sure if we will hold a 10p mark up today though ? Will seller hold out for a trubrand contract or was he waiting for another beat? Or is he finished and just wanted to topslice? Estimates on cash balance at year end? And divi expectation?

Trading Update

This announcement contains inside information for the purposes of Article 7 of Regulation 596/2014.

Spectra Systems Corporation, a leader in machine-readable high-speed banknote authentication and brand protection technologies, announces that it received confirmation yesterday from its licensee for covert materials supplied to 18 central banks that the royalty component of the licensee's payments will be higher than previously expected for 2017.

As a result, Spectra estimates that its profits for the year ended 31 December 2017 will exceed market expectations.

Spectra expects to release its 2017 year end audited financials by week commencing 19 March, 2018.

Dr. Nabil Lawandy, Chief Executive Officer, stated: "We are delighted to have received this news from our licensee for covert materials supplied to 18 central banks which is expected to result in our profits for 2017 exceeding expectations."

Our website has been updated recentlyIt's well worth a look to see all the technologies we own and have patents on The world is our oyster We certainly have many irons in the fire I'm hoping we get into the Ftse 250..seems improbable but who knows with some of the projects we have on I'm most certainly very excited having had a perusal of the website This period maybe the last one we have to buy stock at a very cheap price

NtvSimso wasn't saying we would be taken over He is saying even if we were taken out of our stock at 150 he would feel hard done byNot surprised as if trubrand reaches its full value it could be worth todays mkt cap on its own The only negative here is the rise in the pound

I can't see who would be allowed to take them over because of what they do other than one of the other players in the same industry like De la Rue
it would never get past the central banks
it would be interesting a North Korean or a Russian appeared on the share holder register !!!

In answer to the thorny question of "when to sell", it is interesting to ask how you would feel if there was a bid tomorrow of (say) £1.50 which the Board accepted. To be honest, I would not be that happy at all, and feel cheated!

a spate of robberies ripping out hole in the wall machines (atm) and running off with cash is my mind as it happened really close to where i live near Dedham , suffolk
now if the numbers are known and there is a machine at the point of sale that can read it
it is read and police are alerted
only if it works though it could make handling stolen cash a lot more difficult to launder

Plenty of articles about how new forgeries can by pass detection by pens and ulta violet expecially high value notes.

but you can't track it with a pen
think of all the cash that changes hands all over the world to save on tax
even randomly chasing some it could have big implications on tax revenue and criminal activities
