08/2/2016 08:04 | I think this is another step forward and have no problem with market price options that only vest if shareholder returns are good - they say stringent performance conditions and so I can't see how this doesn't align management with us although I accept we need to see the conditions. Maybe positive timing with Aeris? There is a conference coming up on banknotes. SPSY has been very disappointing for me but I am prepared to see the good news when it arrives - | harrogate

08/2/2016 07:12 | Its never just good news with SPSY is it ? Good news. Profits well above market expectations. Bad news. more shares to be granted as options to directors and other personnel. If that was combined with the CEO taking a 50% pay cut that might be palatable. Why don't they just buy shares in the market place like the rest of us !!! :-( | fft

29/1/2016 10:50 | WH Ireland update:- "Spectra has completed the acquisition of certain specialty phosphour assets primarily used in the authentication of world banknotes. The assets generated revenue of $1.6m and a gross profit of approximately $1.0m in the year ended 31 December 2015 and will be highly earnings enhancing in the 2016 financial year. Our adjusted profit and EPS estimates in this year increase 100% to $1.2m and 1.8p respectively. The consideration amounts to $3.15m, of which $2.8m was paid in cash on closing of the acquisition. Pre acquisition, we estimate the Spectra will exit 2015 with c$13m of cash (20p/share). Thus, with the shares well backed by a cash-strong balance sheet, and a growing confidence about the sustained profitability of the business, we retain our Buy recommendation against an upwardly revised price target of 48p." Regards, GHF | glasshalfull
