for any guys new to the game best advice i can give is dont waste money on tip sheets spend your money instead on a charting package which will not only help you decide which stocks to buy/sell but when to buy/sell them.which will hopefully help to maximise gains and limit losses, there are lots of charting packages around but basically all do the same thing, just some have more advanced features,i personnally use sharescope which costs around £80 for the software then around £11 per month for daily updates and i find this an invaluable tool for stockpicking, alternativly why not spend your money on one of the many investment training courses, you can find a link at top of page under training.both of these are worthwile if your serious about investing your money in the markets.

Hi Guys!1

How you doing??

I will update the top page after a bit more research into the companies mention here by other members. I will also make it in alphabetical order.

As I do not normally access the net from work during the day - may be worth reminding fans that the ticker for this thread is TIPS.

Best Regards

Lucian

On Investtech.com -- in my opinion fairly good. Showed New Look as a strong buy when at 90p 2 weeks ago!

Haystack, I think you have put it the wrong way round. The site address is www. techinvest.com and it seems to cater for the American market.
www.investtech.com is mainly for chartists and is said by some `experts` to be excellent for long term charting.
This thread is a good idea,
Thanks Lucian.

The problem with www.investech.com is that their prices are wrong. They must be getting a bad data feed. It is very similar to the myTrack feed. The prices are wrong at day end due to the market makers widening their spread. They are not picking up the end of day price signal from the LSE. They get their data feed second hand. They show shares going up when they have gone down etc. Just check some of their closing prices. It means that their conclusions are also wrong. I have told them, but they have not fixed it.

L.D.

Good thread. It would be good to see some impartial analysis of tipsters results over time - maybe 1, 3, 6 and 12 months. Anybody got the time ?

You might add www.investtech.com. It's a US site but covers the whole UK market in addition to US stocks. They give daily buy, sell and watch recommendations based solely on computerised technical analysis, and give detailed long and short term charts with the various technical signals for all UK shares.
