how long before Rio has to commit, if it wants to, to increase its stake and to what level? |
Up almost 10% overnight in Australia on circa 850k + volume! :-) |
![](https://images.advfn.com/static/default-user.png) SVML take further steps to advance the project with today’s RNS: “ NEWS RELEASE I 26 JUNE 2024
SOVEREIGN PARTNERS WITH INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION IN MALAWI
· Sovereign has entered into an MoU with The Palladium Group - a US-based international development entity operating in Malawi. · Palladium implements several development projects, including the Feed the Future Malawi Growth Poles Project, which invests in local rural communities to advance sustainable, climate-smart, and inclusive wealth creation. · Sovereign and Palladium will collaborate around Sovereign's Kasiya Project to provide key agricultural inputs, training, technologies, and financing to develop and integrate smallholder farmers into the emerging high growth agriculture value chains. · A central pillar of the MoU and partnership is Sovereign's existing Conservation Farming Program, which aims to promote tried and tested improved small-scale agricultural practices, and the creation of community support and mentorship networks.” |
SVML having a positive start to the week Up 5% on volume of just 106000. I imagine investors are positioning themselves for next month when RIO must decide whether to exercise their option to buy another 5% of SVML taking them to essentially 20%. RIO have been extensively involved in working on the project which has been progressing very well on all fronts. It would be extremely surprising if RIO didn’t add to their holding which will of course inject substantial further funds into the project. It will also be a massive vote of confidence in a project that will in all probability be taken over in it’s entirety by RIO before too long. |

Everything looks on track for the world’s biggest titanium producer - eventually. |
I should have said medium term target 60p. Fully expecting RTZ to take them out. From broker Al. |
I think your target price is very conservative as the current market cap is £175 million but the value of the assets will be in the £ Billions. So rather than your one bagger from today’s price I am expecting a multi bagger with Rio as the buyer. When you see the current progress on the ground Rio could move at anytime. A very impressive company. |
I think an impressive update on progress. I re-iterate a long term buy. Target price 60p. |
RNS very positive with major construction proceeding on schedule: “ SCHEDULE
·
Kasiya's pilot mining and land rehabilitation program is progressing with site establishment on schedule
·
Mobile fleet is currently constructing the test pit, water storage pond and ore stockpile
·
Free-dig nature of soft saprolite ore confirms the ease of mining with no drilling or blasting required
·
Eight boreholes have been commissioned and are ready to supply the water storage pond
·
Key contractors and consultants across major disciplines have now been appointed
·
Empirical data generated from the Pilot Phase will assist in determining optimal project excavation, material handling, processing, backfilling and rehabilitation approaches” |
Thanks mart, looks very good |

Price increasing nicely, hopefully means Rio will be even more likely to take up their extra circa 4.99% by mid July date at circa 29p option price, but rising share price will also hopefully mean that Rio will make full bid sooner rather than later (or other interested company, but i think rio then have first refusal). The longer they wait with any potential full bid, the more expensive svml might be for them , especially at this rate! |
Size, scale and grade is what the majors want. |
I am still here. Finally recognition for the world’s biggest titanium / graphite mine in the making. |
30% up in 5 days and just 5 posts.
This is SO under the radar.... but that is changing.
Held this for 2yrs .. and here? First Post!

'No reason' for the price rise in response to query from ASX price edges up on the ASX. Rio must make up its mind soon, |
Now Up 9.84% quickly closing the gap on the 12% rise in Australia as you would expect. It will be interesting to discover the cause of this rise so hopefully news next week. |
It looks like a nice breakout from a basing pattern which may have triggered some chart watchers |
That’s a big rise on no news and after a particularly quiet day here yesterday. We will presumably follow the Aussie lead. |
looking good in oz, currently up 12% on high volume
edit - profit taking into the close but still a good move |
A tad above my pay grade but the RNS is implying the Graphite is of the highest quality I believe. |
do we know when the DFS will be completed? As I understand it, Rio would then have limited time to become the operator or take a back seat... is the sierra rutile competitor development project in Sierra Leone facing a delay so there is limited mineral sand rutile in the pipeline and existing production is in sharp decline? |
