08/6/2016 10:42 | Has underperformed FTSE250 Index and it's sub-sector which does not bode well imo. | aishah
07/6/2016 16:19 | Sophos has just broken the TI stop loss - heading further down ? | matthew palmer
05/6/2016 10:38 | That was a reference to Thursday's news that Citygroup had reduced its target price from 300 to 290p. This said it retained its Buy rating. | orange1
04/6/2016 15:43 | Times (yesterday) said broker cut target price. Had no further detail. | rambutan2
03/6/2016 20:01 | Well it seems from the results of the end of day auction that there is a seller in the market. What you see is the price going down during the day on low volume(even though there are more buys than sells) and then a lot of shares being sold in the auction. Having said that tonight's uncrossing price was above the closing price so this may be an indication that things could be about to turn. The weakness is basically down to market forces, is how I see it. | orange1
03/6/2016 17:41 | I thought results OK and guidance very encouraging, especially future cash generation, which had been previously criticised. HACK is well above its Feb low. Shares look inexpensive IMO especially given excellent medium term prospects. Mkt cap of £870m, wide geog spread, long established business, good management...what's not to like? Why short term weakness? | chasbas
18/5/2016 13:37 | Share price up about 16% over the past month, results due on 26th May. | silverballs
12/2/2016 15:20 | It's sector wide. The HACK etf which invests in Cyber security Co.s incl. SOPH is not far off 52wk low. | aishah
12/2/2016 12:03 | and rout on stocks generally | the_alchemist
12/2/2016 11:45 | So why has the share price crashed from a peak of near 300p? The only thing I can think of is the patent infringement issue? | nurdin
09/2/2016 08:22 | 3. Cash earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation (“Cash EBITDA”) is defined as the Group’s operating (loss)/ profit adjusted for....etc. Why does it say LOSS first. Surely PROFIT is the primary reason for its existence. If they can calculate an MEHBIT (Make it up as you go...) then there is some code somewhere in there that can fire off a P&L. | liquidkid
09/2/2016 08:03 | good Q3 statement this morning .should move upwards today after such a dramatic day on the markets yesterday | 9degrees
21/1/2016 08:45 | excellent results from peer NCC . Could filter through here? | 9degrees
15/1/2016 09:57 | Q3 results on 9 February- hope they are good ! | 9degrees
01/12/2015 22:34 | So a large buy (negotiated trade) of 188k shares reported post-market. Those funds/institutions didn't get enough of the 60m offer!?! | breaktwister
01/12/2015 21:43 | Pentagon Lock said it sold 60 million shares in Sophos Group PLC, or around a 13.3% stake, at a price of 265 pence each Tuesday, or a total of GBP159.0 million. | macarre
01/12/2015 20:02 | A rebound tomorrow (at least a partial one)? | macarre
01/12/2015 19:53 | Apax bought into Sophos 5 years ago...selling a few shares now is nothing to worry about. | bazboa
01/12/2015 19:33 | I set my stop loss really close to my holding, after Masurenguy's kind answer to my question, and was stopped out pretty much at the bell. Sucks as Broker analysis was 300 - 330. Hope they recover for those still in. | flyposter
01/12/2015 18:19 | An institution sold a big tranche (no doubt at a healthy profit!!) but kept plenty and someone was willing to buy . I am not phased by this. It represents a potential buying opportunity . I think the 9% drop is over done. We shall see. | the_alchemist
01/12/2015 15:40 | Agreed an institution can sell at any time and keeping their 21% can either be viewed negatively or positively. The key positive is that someone else has bought the shares demonstrating confidence in Sophos. The interim statement was strong and with the issues experienced by Talk Talk. I see strong demand for Sophos services in the future | izztre
01/12/2015 15:32 | An alternative view is that institutions just snapped up 60m of these at 265p. And we pis can now buy lower. Bargain imo. | breaktwister
01/12/2015 15:24 | The worry is that someone who has just sold 13.3% of the shares still has another 21.8% to sell in the future. Not for me at this point I'm afraid. | cestnous
01/12/2015 15:13 | So what does this mean ? Has anything changed with the business or is it just a large investor selling some shares to another investor at a discount ? | izztre |
