Darn! One day late on the funds transfer. Will have to pay more now. How much more is the question? Never sure in such cases whether to buy at the start of the day or hope it drops off nearer midday sometime. It may never weaken and keep increasing though! Good RNS. As already a holder happy but would be happier if it was released tomorrow ;-)

We were talking about a commercial gas find taking us to £1 and oil to £1.50+. Well the market doesnt seem to be pricing this in now and we are much lower than the 70p we hit prior to the drill results. Crazy!! It will have to be valued appropriately at some point.

Anyone else feel like we are nearing a distressed asset purchase?

Paulie you are right they KNOW there is oil there. If they had not encountered problems that could have affected the integrity of the significant gas and condensate find then I am sure there would have been lots of oil to report in that cpr today.

Very good update and very informative. One comment only that it would be good to get more info on when the deeper SD-1X drill will happen, but this basically confirms that they know something is down there in my view:

Furthermore, given the encouraging results noted in the deeper oil prone Cretaceous horizon encountered in SD-1X, where a working petroleum system was encountered, the Company is planning to further test this horizon during the development program planned for the SD-1X discovery.

Neo,

I repeat that I am a large shareholder and I think the stock is very cheap but one must have realistic expectations. A CPR, when it comes, might be disappointing to some because reserve engineers are very conservative and they will not give us full credit for the reserves based on one well with no production history. Even if they do, this show me the money market might shrug it off. I don't think the value of this discovery will be reflected in the share price until we have 2 to 4 wells drilled, connected and producing for six months. I hope I will be proven wrong, but I am also willing to wait until the end of 2018 to be rewarded. Of course by then I also hope we will have one or two more exploration successes in Egypt and Morocco as well as higher oil prices. If it all comes together, the share price could double or more in 18 months. Good enough to be my largest position in this mostly overvalued market.

Unusual, sdx is valued higher on the tsx mkt than aim, currently cad$0.95, around 56.8p.

Usually it's the other way round...

Hopefully some funds will arrive in my account tomorrow. What's the betting it will be just out of time for the announcement we have been waiting for? Might work in my favour (poorer than expected figures) or against me (better than expected). If the latter I will probably just have to pay what I can for my top-up.

Crazy isn't it, but just shows the power of the herd.

Even if the well in the south of England does flow any meaningful amounts of oil they are a long way away and a lot of expense from any production.

Thank you neo26 and skippy176. What it is the definition of decent size? 5000+, 10000+, or much higher? Some had a chance to buy earlier in the low 50's now up to the mid 50's.
