Disruptor1664, you might find this interesting reading.

When this happened they knew it would take $ trillions to prevent an implosion, now I wonder what you might need to do to hide the requirement to create $ trillions of new money?

So what happens when the “Bubble bursts”? It kind of seems pointless being in cash as cash seems to be coming increasingly worthless the more paper they print. Dollar is sliding rapidly at the moment.

Does one remain in PMs and PM stocks or does the baby get thrown out with the bath water?

Absolutely, time really is our ally here.As news of the 2nd COVID wave begins to come through and colder temperatures approach its only going to push out cyclical companies and the precious metal market will continue its trajectory. We just need to get it sorted before the bubble bursts.Saying that... Looking at the tech giants and their wildly over-valued SP, we have plenty of time.

News will come soon but if you think it will be tomorrow you are more likely to be disappointed .

At the moment its better watching the Gold price to see if we can break through 2000 dollars an oz .

One story to watch Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador.

CODELCO would lose 11 concessions and 42,000 ha. in Ecuador for reform of the Mining Law.

Happy thought for the weekend. Irrelevant to pricing. Will find out Monday. GLA

It will either be true or false.

Time will tell and we will not lose anything by enjoying the weekend but at least we must be grateful for the fact that the market here is closed so that no one will lose a lot money by a rash purchase based on rumour. The Canadians don`t appear to know but if we have some breakthrough news I would prefer it to be a confirmation of the Franco deal as this would be the most beneficial for NM and Solg and strengthen our bargaining power.

From poster on LSE...

(Been told by a friend at Cantor)..."Monday morning could be very interesting indeed.

"take it or leave it, the main market is closed now in the UK. But it's brilliant news and it will land before the market opens Monday.
Champagne on ice all around for this one, the end game is nigh

"I obviously can't divulge directly what was said, but I did try to verify it with a couple of pointed questions to the ever faithful Eliza. She did reply, as she always does but her replies were very different to the normal jolly uplifting narrative. In fact they verified explicitly what I was told.
Good luck to holders, it's about to unfold..."

Interesting...have a good weekend all (except Nasdaq of course...)

Reporting and not just filtering has sparked most of today's posts and given ND more attention than they deserve. In my view, they had no impact on the board since most of us filtered them. Just apply the filter rather than moving board, after all, they may just follow you to the new board.

What nonsense from CGP. They must be desperate. To threaten 'holding responsible' and at the same time threaten to hold an EGM (with no solid argument against what they are holding responsible for)would enable any shareholders'quorum (above 5%) to deter any company from taking day-to-day decisions. A 1% NSR can't possibly be counted as a 'major' decision affecting shareholder value, when the alternative is share dilution (depending how much of course)
When I've time I'll look in more detail at CGP's maths. Its all a question of balancing the merits of one form (and timetable) for getting Alpala going against another . Any financing is going to involve dilution in one form or another. Where CGP (and Newcrest) might have a point is if NM goes for more NSR deals or more of the streaming deals he's mentioned. They really would diminish shareholder value and I think NM was a bit reckless to suggest it.

NM will also have advice from Citi to call upon and I doubt he will be fazed by the spiteful rhetoric of CGP.

CGP only have a minority stake-not enough to prevent Nick pushing ahead with the FN deal.

Hollow threats as you say Lowtrawler.

CGP have threatened to hold SOLG director's personally liable if they follow through with the FNV deal prior to the requisitioned meeting. It's a hollow threat but worthy of a SOLG RNS I would have thought.

Nobody knows who anyone is on here so how can anyone possibly get upset?.....there are always (at least) 2 investment cases and only a fool ignores both sides of the coin.....didn't mcknight sell out of solg quite recently.....only to buy back in.....if that's not proof that there are always (at least) 2 investment cases.....I don't know what is.....
