Nice Spanish skills mk. I understood nothing except hello! I would extend thanks to pob. Always the fact that all articles are published including those with a less positive spin sometimes. All have added up to a more rounded picture

Nothing was said about an annoucement in 48 hours . However the video was cut
Before the end .

Basically it was said that Apala was massive with a valuation in the ground worth more than the national debt of Ecuador . The vice minister of minning was talking about how they have introduced scout drilling after Meetings in Melborne which will bring forward production by 4 years on many prospects, unfortuantly it cut out before he could finish.

It was also mentioned that Solgold had 10 major projects throughout Ecuador which they suspect will produce another casabel or maybe more. They also pointed out that these 10 projects Would benifit many rural áreas not just a few áreas as the petrolium did.

22 out of 23 areas are in favour of mining .

After listening i have no doubt the government are in favour of mining and the benifits in foreign currency and job creation it will bring .

Never been more confident in my large investment in solgold .

Regarding the annoucement i Would think it more likely Monday as Friday is a strange day for such an important annoucement .

The conference video is now available, in Spanish, with Andrew Taunton and the Vice Minister of Mines. Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador $CGP?!

It would be great if someone could translate and see what the direct quote was, since tweeted by the conference organisers (Americas Society Council of the Americas) in English as;

"....Follow mining news in the next 48 hours for an announcement of one of the biggest copper discoveries in Ecuador by a foreign company."

pob69,

Many thanks too from me for the sheer number and quality of your contributions.
Am certainly a long-termer, bought some in a placing at 18p several years ago, saw it rise then drop to 1p or so, put it in the bottom draw until by chance noticed an article and saw it had shot to over 3p. Great ride so far and plenty more to go.

Lefrene. You are welcome! Good for all long termers!

Nice write up here for Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador $CGP?! Couple of nuggets...

"...According to Santiago Vaca, chief geologist at SolGold, the company has 11 different prospects ready to be drilled. At the sidelines of the World Copper Conference in Santiago in April, Vaca stated that while SolGold is always looking for investment, SolGold is “fully funded for the next two years”.

SolGold’s press office commented they have not had any difficulties with obtaining exploration licenses, other than seeing “increased competition through much higher value bids, from major mining companies in the past two years who have woken up to Ecuador’s potential following the discovery at Cascabel.” The company believes that revisions of the mining law will be positive for SolGold, “as the country continues to encourage investment from mining companies”.

I think the video will be uploaded here but sadly I don't speak Spanish!

Interesting set of tweets by Americas Society/Council of the Americas covering the 2019 Latin American Cities Conference. The latest one, on a thread covering Solgold's Vice President Andrew Taunton's comments includes this nugget which could reference $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador $CGP?

"....Follow mining news in the next 48 hours for an announcement of one of the biggest copper discoveries in Ecuador by a foreign company."

Great to see Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador $CGP represented at this high level Latin American Cities Conference in Guayaquil today.

This year’s conference brings together key government officials and private-sector leaders to discuss Ecuador’s investment climate and opportunities.

Traded some e mails with Añna .

1. Law firms believed that the change in the law would allow Scout drilling to start as quickly as 15 days . But the procedure has only recently been finalized.

2. The góod news is they expect to be Scout drilling the regionals by the end of Q2 as per Mondays RNS.

I hope this helps .

How deep can scout drilling go? I hadn’t read in any of the announcements that we had ‘drilled’; but maybe I missed that. Now on way to Newcastle for rugby finals so not sure I want to read them on my phone atm.

As far as I know Solg is currently scout drilling for core samples. I am fairly sure that we have no permits yet. Will be interested in seeing AL's reply.

SP Angel's comments on Cisne Loja news Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador $CGP

Conclusion: Rock chip samples represent an early stage of the exploration process, however, the announcement of these results from Cisne Loja, coming after reports on another two exploration projects in Ecuador earlier this week underlines Solgold’s extensive exploration presence in the country.

Jerry ,did you know all companies can apply for Scout drilling in Ecuador. Takes approx 15 days for the ok and can be done on the Internet. This new law came into place as the permits are taking an age .

Google Scout drilling.

Agree that we are likely to see several more promising regional exploration results. This fits with the March corporate presentation which shows 2019 budgeted expenditure of $30m for regional exploration versus $22m for Alpala.

As soon as they get the permits we are likely to see initial drilling on the gold epithermal prospects. A big hit, as NM has said, will offer a way to finance Alpala development and Solg's future will be fundamentally transformed.

So Peel Hunt believes fair value for Solg as CAD$ 1.35 or 77 pence.

Hopefully, with increased news and activity we will see that and more soon.

Peel Hunt's view on Cisne Loja news Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador

"...will be looking at both gold and copper ore bodies in the area (big +ve).

Once again. results from exploration and drilling campaigns are looking more positive than we originally anticipated...."

So far the market seems unimpressed, presumably waiting for a signal that somebody is going to start mining?

Out of 72 concessions there are 11 priority targets, so are we going to get a run of 11 reports? Follow that with a summary of the value of probable reserves, then the PEA and an offer to CGP holders. Whatever, I trust that NM has a well laid plan and has begun to execute it.
