The thanks are due to Padmaster, but thank you.

This illegal 'artisanal' mining activity suggests to me that there is a lot of high grade easily accessible gold there. Obviously word has got around about the discovery and it's set off a gold rush. Perhaps this is why NM was talking big numbers not so long ago?

Action by Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador on illegal mining activities $CGP

"...The operation of intervention and eviction was executed in the properties granted by the Ecuadorian State as a concession to the company Carnegie Ridge Resources SA- SOLGOLD for the exploration of minerals, where foreign citizens, residents of the town of Río Verde and its surroundings were carrying out activities of illegal mining as extraction, transport and storage of mineralized rocks."

For what it`s worth as we enter a new financial/tax year.

I bought 50000 at 14.22pm and the trades listed three such trades all at the same. time to the second.

I have complained to the FCA regarding holding back price sentive information for nearly 5 months, with the delay with the PEA, and the offer still to be presented to cornerstone, does NM know what he is doing, this guy needs replacing or sacked.

Agree entirely.
No intention of selling now.
But share price has been stagnant for 2 years.
Can understand people buying and selling SOLG.
But it's a dangerous strategy now.

Very true . But we never thought NM would block drilling news for 5 Months and give us nearly zilch fresh information on the regional mines.

The great thing for me is the political situation and elections seem so have come out much better than i expected.
With what we have in the ground the money will be made long term rather than short

Been a long few months waiting for PEA.
Now wonder short term holders selling.
In the meantime there have been better opportunities elsewhere.

We have also dropped 10% making our shares less attractive... We will go up and down in tandem. BOth sets were going up on teh expectation from specultaive traders that the PEA was about to be released

In a holding pattern at the moment. Returned from visiting last week, friends at Quito. Soon to be a breakout in my view. Have held these all the way from 4p, do not dismiss NM, very astute guy! More soon to discuss.

Lefrene

He has had plenty of time to think about it and no doubt he will make a very strong case as to why Cornerstone shares holders should accept the offer.

The share price will be part of that case i suspect when the news starts it wont stop at one or two rns,s .

My guess is that NM is trying to win over CGP holders so that an approach to bankers for funding will be that much tidier and perhaps make the finance a bit cheaper?

Perhaps he could release the PEA and then frighten CGP holders with the amount they will have to raise to fund their share of the project? That might get them on board? NM is an old hand at this stuff, I don't mind if it takes a bit longer to get the right deal, as it will pay dividends a bit further down the road.

For those who want to check out the credentials of Chris Temple to enable your own research rather than spinning...

Chris Temple has long been an early adopter of Ecuador as an upcoming new jurisdiction. He has done many interviews and has made much of his research available. For example since August 2018 (though he has been interested for several years previously having visited the site several times):-

Mention of Blanca concession (Carnegie Ridge) Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador

"...With respect to the company Carnegie Ridge Resources SA, subsidiary of SolGold, which has the mining concession called "Blanca" in the El Cielito area, the community members say they have not had an articulated work and have not received any benefit..."

Interesting interview, thanks pob69.
Western NGOs and environmentalists banning progress left-right-and-centre.
Par for the course to inhibit responsible progress, keep developing countries poor and make rich countries richer.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, with China on the block now going to be difficult.

Coverage of Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador $CGP

Chris Temple (who does confirm he is not a SOLG shareholder) talks about the mining and exploration environment in Ecuador including the recent elections "symbolic vote, sector not worried" and for Cascabel pro-miners won anyway so issue has "gone away". He mentions the tension between SolGold and Cournerstone Capital.

"still biggest country story in the world", SOLG's proposed CGP buy-out "guaranteed to fail", and if he was a SOLG shareholder his view is why is company" wasting its time, money and energy especially with the late delivery of PEA?"

Might be news tomorrow.
Uncertainty holding price back rather than worry that news is bad.
Enormity of project is frightening.
