Hmmm, it seems to have bounced off 22p on several attempts but it looks like that's broken now. This will all be of small avail in a few months time when we are in an uptrend!

Having another go at running them down. I wonder who demanded that those 180mn new shares be held off market until April? I can't see there would have been any benefit to Solg's directors, so why would the banksters want it? How would they benefit? Will there be a cheapo smash and grab before the preliminary estimate comes out, or before good news from Aguinaga comes out, or will it all combine the day after those shares become tradable?

Mrpiggy, I don't think there are any significant short positions in the open market, they don't show up on 'Short Interest Tracker'. I suspect that whoever holds the rights to those off-market 180mn will have created forward contracts at perhaps circa 33p to get an instant profit. If that happened then it would be in the interests of whoever wrote and sold those contracts to do their best to work the price down, either so that they are not called upon to deliver, or so that they can accumulate more stock at below cost. Although I presume if they were accumulating on any scale then it would have to be declared, but then the recent move on Daimler-Benz shows that large positions can be created in an 'off balance sheet' manner if an entity is determined to do so.

Another week or two and perhaps a light will be shone into the dark corners? It's very curious that some of the good news that has come out in recent weeks has done nothing but depress the sp, I suspect dark arts by dark Bankers.

We should also know the home of those absent 180mn shares by then.

Solg have a stand at the Mines & Money conference in Hong Kong from 3-6 April. Perhaps, unlike PDAC,they will come up with a bumper RNS beforehand. Take your pick from a drill at Aguinaga already encountering over 100+m of mineralisation, a drill doing the same at Trevino and/or drill intersecting the rich core at Alpala.

It may be none of these and perhaps a surprise. Hopefully, the next couple of weeks or so are going to be very interesting. Would love to see the price fixing come to grief.

It's just a waiting game now to find out what the hell is going on and why!All the jockeys have taken their positions and we are in the 22-24p doldrums with very little volume. Any buying is followed by automated small selling to keep the share price in this price. Not long now to wait to find out why! ;@)

Long and short of it is how are we going to get the red stuff out of the ground?News on that is about the only thing that will get the market excited!

Well he did do the deal with the banksters, and this is the result, so I guess no surprise to him and a lesson for the future. Got to get on the Canadian market to get the interest of the mining friendly investment bankers there! Hah! so that worked out then!

So being told that Cascabel possibly goes on for another 10km is a good reason to drop under 22p on the bid! Makes no sense to me, lord knows what Nick Mather makes of it?

ODR,

Indeed we still are. Sentiment is dire and general funds and investing public not interested in smaller mining stocks. Also time of year for selling for tax reasons.

ODR there does seem to be a squeeze on lower paid workers and those on benefits, with rising basic living costs and lots of job losses in retail. The bear market has already happened to the retailers, but I don't see how that effects demand for a global commodities like copper or gold. I would expect development in China/India/Africa, plus a move towards electric vehicles to affect the prospects of the likes of Solg. The story here just gets better and better, it's only the share price that gets worse or goes nowhere. In due course we will find out why, but my belief is that the invisible 180m shares is the tail wagging the dog.

Mrpiggy, I think those awfully nice bankers have already made their turn by forward selling their interest, and then shorting the price down to these levels. I guess those forward contracts expire before the end of March, so perhaps we are waiting for those contracts to expire out of the money?

The resource just gets bigger, now it looks like there is a 10km corridor of further metal right next door to Cascabel. The Tier 1 site looks like it could get a great deal bigger and yet the share price drops! Might have well stayed on AiM, at least there you know things are corkscrew shaped, but on the main market?

Stop panicking folks, until the 180,000,000 shares hit the market at the end of the month we aren't going anywhere! The market is waiting for news on how we are going to finance the block caving at Alpala through a JV, buyout or an increased interest from Newcrest or maybe great news from Aguinaga. Everyone should take comfort in the fact that the banks had enough confidence in solgold to provide a private placement..... they see us as a sure thing!

Worth looking at the RNS on the Solg website and then clicking on the highlighted RNS for the LSE because this shows the location map of the Nieves and Blanca concessions.

This 10 km mineralised corridor is in very close proximity to Cascabel. If they could discover near surface commercial copper/gold deposits that could be brought into production quicker than Alpala, the benefits are obvious.

Oh No, not MORE buried treasure, how terribly boring, I must sell my holding at once!!

It's not bad news and helps underline the skill of NM having a nose for good prospects. Ridiculous that the MMs manage to move the price down! I guess we have to deliver 50 tons of gold to Asprey's shop window before a penny or two will go on the share price

Most of us been holders for many years.
Perhaps only way for share price to rise is to sell off some assets.
Potential is so huge it's frightening off buyers.

Morning Mr R, today's RNS is non news to pacify the restless natives in my opinion ( its another part of our portfolio but one for the future)! We are due drill results and a resource upgrade on Alpala but more important.... news on Aguinaga which we are hoping is near surface, high grade ore which if found in volume would finance the block caving at Alpala. As I've stated in previous posts I suspect there is M&A activity in the background with an offer being finalised but that's just my gut feeling which is why we are getting no news on the for mentioned (just my opinion).
