27/2/2018 10:19 | A buyer is always trying to get the best price with the least risk. But sometimes things can flip, where a would be buyer stands off for too long waiting for the perfect grab of cheap price with guaranteed large profit. Just as he is about to pounce somebody else beats him to it. Hopefully in that scenario one gets a bidding war :¬) Cascabel is a prize asset well worth having, there seems a high probability that the copper is shot through the whole of the property, but no careerist beancounter is going to pop his head above the parapet without absolute proof. If they all hang about waiting for perfect proof, then it's going to be a full price, if one of them has a bit of bottle they might save a themselves billion $. In the meantime NM only has to keep drilling. Mind you a rumour of buy out would flush out the shorters :¬) Looks like you bought at the right time Mirabeau! | lefrene
27/2/2018 09:52 | This is strengthening by the day With Newcrest doubling up in Ecuador with Lundin and with drilling at Aguinaga to commence we should see increasing interest as we move forward The big question is when will the majors pounce? Added today | mirabeau
24/2/2018 10:46 | Once again we have bounced off the 20p support, let's hope we never have to test it ever again!I'm going to quit trying to second guess the MMs actions, yesterday morning after the first two buys the MMs widened the spread so you could get a much better price for selling than the price paid for the first two buys (or at least it appeared that way), I can only assume that a lot of the sells were actually buys by the rising share price All LTH's need worry about is the news coming out of the company and as long as it remains positive then the share price will take care of itself at the end of March when the placement shares enter the market!Hopefully we can gain some traction on the M&A rumors before then!Have a fab weekend all! ;@) | mrpiggy

23/2/2018 11:35 | It may be that the magazine report which is decent and logical will calm a few nervy pi's and delay their selling, plus the analyst reports to come which IC will perhaps have wind of as they share resources with the FT. The parasites who are manipulating here rely on fear and uncertainty so media coverage, analysts and good news between them should do the trick. Other media might pick up on it too, they often crib from each other. Then change the wording a bit:) | paleje
23/2/2018 10:17 | My initial reservations on the fund raise and subsequent price action was the comparison i made with HUR a while ago. THey raised a huge amount (50% of their market cap) at close to 50% discount to their highs at 32p. This was to raise enough to go into production in 2019. Exploration is all complete and they no just have to be able to produce the oil. THeir price dipped down to 24p post placing before clearing out the overhang and moving back up. THis was a 25% drop under placing. Solg was placed at 25p so a 20% drop under takes us to the 20p level. HOPfully it can find traction around here but will no doubt still need a catalyst to discourage teh sellers who seem to feel bulletproof at these current levels still. | 5070481
23/2/2018 10:10 | Not even the kiss of the IC can stop the game! April will arrive in due course, perhaps we will learn something. | lefrene
23/2/2018 08:46 | Haha. I just meant the sells at a higher price than the buys! | 5070481
23/2/2018 08:34 | It's meant to read bent as a nineteen pound note... ever since the ADVFN upgrade the symbols on the iPhone are wrong, eg.... an apostrophe comes out as a question mark! | mrpiggy
23/2/2018 08:24 | I dont follow my porky friend... | 5070481
23/2/2018 08:18 | Note how the sells are at a much higher price than the buys.... bent as a £19 note!!!!! | mrpiggy
23/2/2018 08:14 | Will be interested to see the analyst reports though that are referenced in the IC article. | 5070481
23/2/2018 08:13 | It looks like you are right, nice wide spread at the opening to encourage selling and early buys swamped by sells and down she goes..... FXXK!!!:@( | mrpiggy
22/2/2018 22:13 | We'll maybe open a point or two up and then the seller will return forcing the price down. We'll see when the seller has finished as there is going to have to be a big old spike in volume as they close shorts. UNtil then the drift is on. Overhang clears and we can go | 5070481
22/2/2018 19:49 | Wouldn't think a tip in IC would have that much effect on SOLG. Majority of holders been in for the long term. Even good RNS's don't raise share price. This is the way it is @ the moment. However rumours of takeover (whilst not new) might have some positive effect. | mam fach
22/2/2018 19:30 | The last time we had a positive report and feature in a shares mag we had a funding and dilution within 72 hours. I should know as bought some on the spike up only for it to fall quickly 72 hours later. Beware out there buying on any hype from a magazine . | francoismyname
22/2/2018 18:48 | IC have this as a tip of the week in tomorrow's mag, I won't print whole but here's their summary - Major discovery Takeover candidate By Alex Newman While exploration company SolGold (SOLG) may have yet to generate any revenue the group has discovered what it believes to be the first of many world-class copper-gold deposits in Ecuador. Results from several drilling intersections at Cascabel, its major discovery, are up there with the best recorded.... ......The fact that this is just one of many potential projects could be the kicker. Add to that the upcoming release of several UK analyst reports, and we don’t expect SolGold’s share price to be subdued for much longer. Buy. Last IC View: None From my phone | paleje
22/2/2018 17:45 | It is also good if we have a balanced board and if a poster sees something negative and backs it up with reason then it's good that it is shared. Some boards you get absolutely slated if anything negative is said which isn't healthy! | mrpiggy
22/2/2018 17:14 | Sorry 5070481, I could have worded my post a lot better, I was assuming you are looking for a lower price merely for a top up and nothing sinister. I value your posts and your post regarding share overhang. | mrpiggy
22/2/2018 16:58 | 5070481, any reasoned comments are welcome especially insights that may have passed others by. I agree the 180 million overhang is the tail wagging the dog, it will be interesting to see what happened to them. It's my belief that they have been forwards traded by those who 'own' them. Could be interesting if they turn up in a single block. | lefrene
22/2/2018 16:48 | Please dont get my intentions wrong on this. I have no wish to see SOLG dropping and have a decent holding as a long term hold. I merely intended to point out reasons for the drop and possible reasons to be cautious about topping up until we see some kind of change of trend occuring. I have no issue with managment at all looking to be taken over but I simply advised caution as some of my other holdings have had CEO's chatting about this (HUR and SOU) and i dont think that puts you in a strong negotiating position. Until this overhang is cleared and the seller gone it will be very hard for retail punters to overpower this downtrend. Roll on April and the updated MRE and submission of new shares | 5070481
22/2/2018 16:20 | It's a news driven stock and without news the machines will chip away at the price, although here of course the world is upside down as good news does nothing for it! Mrpiggy feel lucky that you are not in some humid jungle hustling drilling machines to get deeper faster :¬) Resign yourself to the reality that it takes time to prove up a large site, and without proofs no beancounter is going to take a risk on a bid of the sort of magnitude that Solg will command. Next MRE presumably early April, we should also have had an early report on Aguinaga by then too. Cascabel must be on the radar of every big hitter in the copper game, it isn't going to disappear or be given away for a song. | lefrene |
