R I O A R M A D I L L O - Sleeping Giant:

From the horse*s mouth, Nick Mather, CEO, 8 Oct 2020 [Solgold RNS}:

" P R O V E N I R is r e v e a l i n g a LARGE porphyry in the 1st drill. "

" We*re confident that the Tier 1 Alpala WILL BE FOLLOWED BY R I O ARMADILLO
in this highly prospective province."

---
Other details in RNS:
Vertical extent of up to 1500m. 1 2 K M LONG & 3km wide NE trending."

My Comment:
Following share price Angel*s John Meyer on Vox Podcast yesterday, we now have Nick Mather on not only Provenir but Rio Armadillo which is nearer to the flagship Alpala.
Alpala strike length is 2.2km [Solgold RNS of 17 Aug 2017.

BHP*s last buy-in price was 45p on Alpala prospect at the time.

Live dummy price: Buy 38.4499p and Sell 38.265p [wider margin today]

It`s strange that the price has not advanced given that there seems to be three times more bought than sold. At some point there will be a stock shortage and a shakeout will be attempted.

PS Good news on ARCM (at last)

I still believe Rio is the BIG ONE...it certainly seems to be Nick's favourite...so we have an exciting couple of weeks coming up with a stream of regional updates and everything else going on...

What intrigues me is what's happening with DGR...remember they own almost 10% of SOLG (which is why I'm invested there also and took up the recent rights with attached options...)

The DGR halt could be the most significant news this week...needs a capital raise...halts until 12 October...does that mean Nick knows something is coming before then that would cause DGR to surge and make the capital raise a breeze...does Nick need the breathing space to focus all his attention here...the halt predates the CGP EGM decision, the CGP bid expiry and the BHP release...

Bid or big news incoming...?

Meanwhile, for those who are interested in other plays...

Meanwhile, O/T....having listened to the guy at share price Angel and done substantial research, have opened a position in VAST with a total of c6 million shares here so far, paying up to 0.1778

Now that the mine is back up, the prospective cashflows are impressive...and they just paid Atlas in cash rather than accept a share conversion...

If it stays low over the next month or so will buy steadily to build up a significant position...

Added to my mini spec P/F of JAY (up 110%) and ARCM (170%) buys, (not to mention 1.2m SOLG)...

AIMHO as usual...and hope you don't mind the aside...and no this is not a ramp...I'm in them for the long haul like SOLG and am always happy to share ideas...but PLEASE...DYOR..

It's time to roll the dice. At 40p, you don't need any of our regional sites to be successful. Alpala will repay your stake with interest. Hence, at any price below 40p you get free entry to the game.

If Porvenir is a Tier 1 and there is no bid, our shares are likely worth 70p - odds? probably better than evens. You should be willing to pay up to 55p to enter the game if you believe this outcome.

If both Porvenir and Rio Amarillo are tier 1's, with no bid, our shares are likely worth 100p - odds? probably better than 2:1. You should be willing to pay up to 60p to enter the game if you believe this outcome.

In addition to those options, a bid could arrive at any point and any successful bid will be over 100p and, depending on timing, substantially over 100p.

Conclusion, at less than 40p, players are continuing to get free entry to what could be a very lucrative game. Investors are continuing to make the mistake of valuing Alpala at only 25p which would suggest shareholders only end up owning around 10% of the returns from Alpala.

Agree about early bids, majors prefer to wait and see and pay a higher price on confirmation of real assets than overpay for something that may or may not exist.

I could live with that so my New Year Resolution will be to be more patient and les greedy.

Regarding a potential bid. The economics are simple, the sooner you bid, the cheaper the acquisition price because there will be fewer proven resources. However, you will have to pay a premium for anticipated resources which may not exist and so your bid risks are higher. For the likes of BHP, delaying until resources are reasonably defined for Porvenir and Rio Amarillo might add £2bn to the bid price but make the acquisition more explainable to their shareholders. For this reason, I don't expect a bid this year. I expect us to get promising results at Porvenir and Rio Amarillo raising our price towards 100p with bids being made at 150p and, after competition, selling around 200p. Probably in Q2.

Lefrene I agree, in my opinion the news flow is linked to the impending end of BHP’s standstill agreement. There is a clear fear by management that a ‘bid’ could be imminent and the defenses are being suitably shored up. Interested to see how this plays out.

Next year is another country and they will do things differently there. We may never get a chance to visit it but hopefully we will have pleasure in knowing what we did for it and the fact that we were handsomely rewarded.

IF, and it's a big IF, we get positive results at all 4 regional locations ending up with 3 Tier 1's. It is likely the secondary targets at Porvenir and Rio Amarillo will also be tier 1's. We should start to have some real value assigned to our unexplored licenses.Even without a bid, it should take us over 100p by Q2 next year.

I believe that NM is laying out his well stocked stall before BHP come out of purdah. Share holders need to know the potential value of what they own before somebody tries to take it off them for peanuts.

It's very difficult to sign value to any of the regional development sites given the early stage they are all at. One drill hole does not a Xmas make. However, we should have a very good idea for most of the sites by Xmas.

Whatever the share price reaction today the strategic impact of Rio coming on top of Por will be felt by a wider, well heeled audience for whom the clock is ticking as the potential asset value of Solg is being rolled out by a grandmaster.

It has had umph over the past week or so! Lets be honest, whilst the RNS is demonstrating good progress on drilling, it isnt telling us anything we do not already know so I personally wouldnt expect a big climb in the share price

Timeline wise. With the number of rigs planned for Porvenir, we should have a MRE by early March. If they have a similar response to the first drill at Rio Amarillo, MRE by end April. Possibly 3 tier 1's with Alpala being the runt of the litter.

Solgold with a Rio Amarillo update from SOLG (previouosly known as the "sleeping giant". This location 30km away from Cascabel has 2 targets covering vertical extent of up to 1500m over a 12km-long by 3km-wide northeasterly-trending, magnetically anomalous, porphyry belt" - that's a lot of copper and gold! Nick Mather stated "we’re confident that the tier 1 Alpala project at Cascabel will be followed by Rio Amarillo in this highly prospective emerging province.“

Rio Amarillo has been SOLG's primary target for a long time. It has the same utility and infrastructure advantages as Alpala. It is much larger than Porvenir and Alpala. It has a second target area similar in size to Alpala. With the first drill going at the end of this month, we will hopefully get some visible confirmation from drilling in around 6 weeks. This site has always been the one most likely to transform SOLG.
