The count ..

I agree with you that 38p is a steel imho . If our techs who have had massive experiance at Alpala say before the assey results its huge then its huge

Great buying opportunity .

As lowtrawler said yesterday Alpala is worth over 40p so still no valuation for Porvenir .Blanca.la Hueca and Río Amarillo plus 68 other sites .

How crazy is that when its very possible we have just uncovered the largest gold/copper mine ever .

Exactly, I think the market is still waiting for confirmation of the grades within the first drilling cores, hence no spectacular increase yet. Looking forward to seeing the assay results.

Count

The initial plan at Porvenir was 8000m so yes an increase of over 6 x the initial plan. That's some increase and an indication of just how confident they must be

A 50,000m drilling programme is a big commitment.

SP Angel update

''Conclusion: Solgold is clearly excited by the results coming from its first hole at Cacharposa and even before initial assay results are available is planning for a larger programme of drilling amounting to 50,000m subject to a continuing flow of positive results. We surmise that its experience at Alpala gives Solgold a deep insight into the nature of the mineralisation it is seeing in this first hole at Cacharposa and probably accounts in part for the enthusiasm at this early stage. The results from assaying hole PDH-20-001 and subsequent holes will be widely and eagerly anticipated by many, including share price Angel’s mining team. The imminent recommencement of drilling at the Bianca project in northern Ecuador emphasises the wide-reaching exploration ambitions of Solgold as it pursues its “first-mover” advantage in Ecuador.

Many do not otherwise there would not be any selling . Many of those sellers think they will be able to get back in cheaper. Most donot understand the change in the share price is because we may have just found the biggest copper/gold mine ever .

However i believe that institutions who do understand whats going on are buying up slowly anything thats on offer . The Sp should be 60/70p now its not because people are still selling .

That is so funny you expect the Sp to keep going up
That is an understatement. Majority of us here holding hoping for same reason.
Another good day expected tomorrow.

Rougepierre. Seems to suggest to me that they will not be taking up solgolds offer . So have they a behind the scenes deal with Newcrest . Would that lead to a problem with cornerstone.Newcrest and BHP trying to remove the Solgold board to sell it off cheaply ? NM certainly doing his best to avoid this situation .

An interesting next few weeks thats forsure . The drilling results will be out as quick as possible so i expect the Sp to keep going up ..

Meant to post this link this morning to show that Mining Companies are getting larger and that is the trend.... and there has been increasing media pressure on Newcrest that it is not growing fast enough.....Newcrest is still bigger than these 2 combined but the gap is closing fast....

Oh and that 6% shake is down from over 7% in the last few weeks...are they having to sell SOLG shares to stay afloat...?

I said the same yesterday , if the shares are going into safe hands and not traders then the free Float is going down which at some point will cause a shortage . However we still have some one who wants to sell . Today they had 182k at 38p which were bought and a further 182k at 38.5 which may still be there tomorrow . These will no doubt go in the next few days as we power on .We are now in a period where we have 3 sites drilling so non stop news which will push the price to new highs . All imho .

Red Cloud ! - Don't worry about 'target prices ' They are always rubbish - just a broker trying to persuade his tame mug punters to give him a buying commission.

Somewhere around 80% of our stock is not in free float (Nick controls 20%, BHP 12, NCM 12, CGP 7, BR 6). It means that over the last week, around 10% of our free float has been traded.

My view is that there can't be many shares in free float as the price movement v volume have not really been in sync.Only 7m traded today is around £2.5m of market cap 775 million. I reckon mms short of stockIn my view

Even if BHP buy Cornerstone this would need to be at a premium which would mean SOLG would rise too. BHP still would not have control of SOLG in which case either market buying or a bid would follow if BHP want SOLG, either of which increases the share price.

Happy Days !

DD, a whole 6,500 shares traded in CGP. Don't think SOLG punters have defected.

LT - I didn't mean NC is buying CGT. I meant punters are being deflected away from Solg into CGP.
