Solo Oil (LON:SOLO, 0.32p) - Speculative Buy

Solo has published a positive update for the Ntorya-2 well, describing smooth progress thus far and some detail of the well plan. The wide diameter well bore reached 1326m and has been successfully cased and cemented. A 12 inch hole is now being drilled to 2095m, following which the 8.5 inch hole will go to at least 2,860m where the Cretaceous sands encountered in NT-1 will be tested.

Our view: It is good to see that NT-2 is progressing to plan with no technical problems. We might see the first news of hydrocarbons in 2 weeks or so time from mud logging data when the bore hits the target zone. However the key event will be flow test in February.

O&G cannot be set to a strict timetable as we are all well aware. The more gas the more there will be to analyze (if successful). Companies always take their time when drilling payable sections to avoid skin damage and the like, need the mud balance spot on. 45 days makes it this Friday but could come at any time this week, next week or the week after. Not long now for those that have been in from the start though, just about to get interesting and still our discoveries are valued at about £7m each, which is maybe fair enough for KN-1 as its pretty much fully developed, but its slim pickings for our discoveries at HH, Arreton and Ntorya-1 (17.5Bcf net to SOLO).

Why would Solo be at TD when we were given specific guidance of 45-60 days and 50-60 days meaning 03-18 Feb or 08-18 Feb.Yes,Solo could announce TD early but we are not actually due news yet using timings given by Solo.They could encounter problems and be longer.It comes when it comes.

Epsilon Investments possibly gone? Look at lvl 2! Not seen it that strong since I entered, its now 0.42-0.44. 1 mm on the ask the others are at 0.5p! BB as quiet as a mouse (a good thing). Potentially a break out to 0.52-0.56 resistance on the cards.

Very true. T trading isn't for widows or orphans, its a bit like the spreads. As long as you got the mullah to cover there's no issue though. can sometimes be free money with no settlement when it goes with you.
