15/9/2020 10:50 | Any 'contrarian' who looks at everything with a 'contrary' view - with no evidence that the 'received' view is wrong - will continue to suffer from events contrary to his view (Confucius - probably !) | dozyduck

15/9/2020 10:27 | As another contrarian I have to disagree with you. | mam fach
15/9/2020 10:17 | As a contrarian this stock is quite interesting. If you look how the metals and miners have performed in general since the March crash solg is definitely a bit of a laggard and I daresay that it's crept into the hated 'category' as a result. It's an odd one when you consider the potential but it probably now may even fall back even though the sector could still see further gains. Mud sticks and unfortunately for solg it's covered in it. Will there be a sentiment change anytime soon... | boris cobaka

14/9/2020 21:50 | Mirabeau Someone has the stock to feed the market for the bot 'control' - you can sense it by watching the order book all day.....I picked up a line on Friday T+20 but the way I was quoted for T+15 and T+20 against prevailing order book indicated to me they just don't want to give stock away in size at any decent price. | bogotatrader

14/9/2020 20:34 | Hannan & Partners note Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador "...While the de-risking of the project implied by today’s announcement is clearly positive, we had already factored this funding into our model and hence see no impact on our SOTP of 109 GBp/share." "...FN has also expressed interest in helping to fund the full construction of Alpala through a precious metal stream. " "... We continue to place a conservative US$75m (~3p/share) valuation on SOLG’s wider Ecuadorean portfolio" | pob69
14/9/2020 20:04 | lowtrawler, Not a holder here(yet), but this from thee H&P note today may help is understanding the impact of a 1% NSR. It's 4% of FCF after tax. "Project still open to further funding solutions We estimate that a 1% NSR royalty translates into a ~4% drag on FCF post-tax over the life of Alpala, leaving significant room for further debt or streams to be attached to the project. With the path to a construction decision now virtually clear, cheaper funding may become available from other sources, eliminating the need for SOLG to extend to the full US$150m royalty from FN. Moreover, the agreement with FN gives SOLG an option to buy back 50% of the royalty at an implied 12% IRR to FN within 6 years of completion. This could prove attractive if SOLG is able to draw upon lower cost debt or indeed if a potential acquirer with a lower cost of capital wished to optimise their future returns. As noted in April, SOLG has received multiple Expressions of Interest in concentrate offtake from Alpala, and a number of traders have made offers of funding towards development studies and construction. With metallurgical test work to date indicating attractive concentrate specifications should be achievable, the company also reported “overwhelmingl | itsyou

14/9/2020 18:19 | LT - a quick comment on your 24742. FNV doesn't 'see' a solg value 60p per share. It 'sees' merely the stream of 1.5% of Cascabel output, at whatever gold price it projects. That has no connection with any value for Cascabel or Solg. | dozyduck
14/9/2020 17:44 | Anyone intruiged by the recent confirmation that the expected publication of Nick Mather's interview last week with Red Cloud presentation has been delayed by technical issues and for the whole of today the company website (though not the DGR one) remains unavailable due to technical difficulties? | pob69
14/9/2020 17:31 | I expect this week to end over 30p. The phoney war over the past few weeks has ended and I expect volume to remain high. That will make it very difficult to sit on the price. Still, downward pressure will be exerted until after the CGP bid expires and maybe until after the requisitioned meeting. Fingers could be burnt if we have any good drill results in the meantime. | lowtrawler
14/9/2020 17:19 | Oh! for SOLG to return to being the darling of the stockmarket. Even moving from AIM to Mainmarket didn’t lift us. Don’t give up or sell up we will be rewarded soon.GLA | mam fach
