Hannam research note quoted 130p takeout valuation but they are using a more conservative target price of 107p

BoA research backs the story here....Made my initial purchase here just now....T20 was 0.065 premium to 26.85p...indicating MMs know where this is heading and don't want to realease stock cheaply.

I'm not selling SOLG only sorry I sold GGP.
On a serious note it is worrying when mining companies run
rough shod over indigenous cultures.
SOLG do seem to be working hand in hand with Ecuador government.
Stay Safe.

Alot of stress worrying about when to sell etc .. better off in Solgold .😃👍

All that can be said has been said.
None of our theories or predictions have materialised.
To think I had GGP at below a penny and sold at below 1p.
Obviously my reasoning was flawed.
At this rate GGP will overtake SOLG.

Maybe someone in the financial press needs to write a story about it.

LT, spelling it our plainly like that it's obvious what the best deal is for CGP holders, but as you say the CGP board have another agenda, and their indignant noises are blind siding their share holders. Perhaps NM should try again but spelling it out as you have?

RTS, in my view, says it all about CGP and Newcrest. Blinkered on Alpala and to hell with the rest. The only people who can't see value in the CGP bid are the directors, because they'll lose their jobs. Would you rather have 6% of SOLG, 15% of Alpala, $50m debt to SOLG and needing to find $300m of funding or 15% of SOLG.If you don't go for the latter, there must be a screw loose.

I love that we aren taking about Alpala being a quick fix - a 56 year mine with assets that represent the largest silver mine in the world, the 3rd largest copper mine and the 6th largest gold mine. And it is relegated to a quick fix, as we have another dozen assets which could be of similar calibre. Just fantastic.

Voted up #24686. Sensible strategy for BHP.

Edit added: They would have to get NM on board though, and he would be hard to please.

Mirabeau, that's how I read it too. But there's no actual knowing though. I guess MM's have some sort of code to help each other manage situations? Or somebody with a large lump of stock to go, that they wanted to shift in a hurry, if so a big trade should show up at the end of the day.

Assuming it was a targeted attack on stop losses then surely one could assume this to be a buy signal based on the assumption that the attack itself was a buying strategy by persons unknown?

Someone just got screwed there on that low test and instant return to the mean.

That once happened to me while spread betting and I lost a grand in under 5 seconds. It’s all bloody rigged I tell ya!

Mirabeau, that's what I thought too, a deliberate spike down to harvest stop losses.
