05/8/2019 13:47 | Lowtrawler, I suspect the sudden shrinking of cash might have something to do with it? They seem to be employing huge numbers of people (why?) while of course there is no sight of an income stream. I guess the plan is to drill that extraordinarily rich area of gold, and use proof of that to borrow money to get some production going? Either that or sell something to a big hitter. There's already far too many shares in issue, this will tank if NM plans to crank out more shares. | ![]() lefrene
05/8/2019 13:37 | Look around at the market in general....a sea of red out there, we are 0.004p down, major result if you ask me.Once the date is set to commence mining proper, then we will see value out. | ![]() telbap
05/8/2019 13:12 | SOLG keeps surprising me. This is a generally positive announcement and the price fell. For a share that largely trades on sentiment, this type of news should have had a bigger impact and in a positive direction. | ![]() lowtrawler

05/8/2019 12:08 | Interesting news out of #cascabel Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #ecuador concerning the Blanca Neves tenement (no doubt clearing decks for corporate activites?) but here is the updated presentation from the Diggers and Dealers conference held earlier today. A quick review (CAPS used in slides); Slide 5 Cash in bank US$35m (from US$60m in June) so getting PROJECT AND CORPORATE FINANCE EXECUTIVE MANAGER very timely Slide 16 confirms "Solgold IS bidding for Cornerstone" which wasn't present in the previous June slide pack Slide 25 CASCABEL RANKS IN TOP 5 GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS (COPPER & GOLD) *Source: S&P Global. 2018Y. 05/8/2019 12:00 | Lefrene, I think this has been done to settle the dispute over whether the Blanca concession is part of Ensa and hence Cornerstone own 15% of it. The southern bits have been transferred but not the Blanca 1 concession - where the very high grade rock chip samples come from. Very good news and I particularly like the following sentences from the RNS: "Drill permits are expected to be granted imminently and platform and camp construction are well advanced. The Blanca system is targeted to rapidly deliver a high-grade epithermal gold resource which may assist in the funding of SolGold’s share of the ENSA’s development of Alpala." | pecker1
05/8/2019 11:38 | But what's going on lumping those properties into ENSA? Doesn't this give CGP a slice of the cake? Suggests some sort of deal being arranged. Why doesn't some apparatchik in a government office pick up the phone and tell Solg it can start drilling? Does Ecuador actually want a mining industry or not? Or is somebody paying them to hold off the drilling permits for a while? Now who would gain from that? | ![]() lefrene

05/8/2019 10:44 | The only thing you know about those large trades is that by the time they are posted they are already in the price. It looks like Solg remains in limbo until CGP is sorted and Newcrest is released from being barred from increasing its stake. The upward march of the gold price isn't doing any harm, so when this comes out of purdah higher gold will help lift valuations, even copper might have woken up by then? | ![]() lefrene
05/8/2019 06:46 | Feels like a good week with confidence starting to return .Gold breaking out above 1450 will not do any harm either .i think we need to start thinking about the large trades that keep showing up at the end of trading . | ![]() mknight

02/8/2019 14:30 | Just got some answers back from Anna to 3 of my questions . 1. Cornerstone ... finishing off paperwork etc . Updating the market soon. 2. Assuray . Working with government to beat the greens . 3. Permits are still expected soon and are not those that have been put back to 2020 . Not sure i would want to be out if the Banca y Nieve Permit comes through ... This is the amazing grades of gold approz 10km from Cascabel which would no doubt be fast tracked . Could pay for Alpala. | ![]() mknight

01/8/2019 20:40 | Maybe we shall just have to wait for the Trump re - election campaign to start as then we will see a trade deal with China and a rapprochement with Iran etc sparking a revival of world confidence, rising copper prices etc although to be fair the big miners might prefer to buy in the trough and Solgold`s assets are extremely attractive at this price. One morning we just may wake up to a shock and that is why I shall continue to hold. | ![]() arcadian
01/8/2019 19:35 | Gold just shot up $40 on Trump ratcheting up the trade war and lumping more tariffs on Chinese imports. Getting close to taking out that 1450 now. Considering it looked like falling below 1400 earlier today, this sort of price action can only be good for SOLG and goldies in general? | ![]() alwaysevolving

01/8/2019 13:58 | I think we're waiting for the Cornerstone situation to resolve itself... Less than half its 5 month high and not far above its 2.1/2 year low... RSI, 20 and 50 day MAs have collapsed... If NM gets them he has more control over SOLG's destiny... If BHP or Newcrest get them, we're in play... AIMHO as usual... | ![]() rougepierre
01/8/2019 13:15 | mknight, certainly a very big figure, but perhaps one should just extrapolate the $4.1 to $4.8 billion figure that Solg attaches to Alpala for 3%, which at a mid figure suggests $45 billions in Alpala alone. OK it takes another 22 Alpala's to get close to $1 trillion, but we have 70 odd prospects and the remainder of Cascabel, so stretching it a bit, but certainly a huge number. A number so big that it makes the current value look out of place, however as we all know too well the market value here has been persistently at odds with the prospective value for a long time. | ![]() lefrene
01/8/2019 11:50 | Lefrene only a trillion. And still we drop Lol Our days will come . | ![]() mknight |
