Nor have I mam fach, but as the little people we would get swept aside.

I believe that Solg is sat on something like $1 trillions worth of metal across all its holdings, just 1% of which is $10 billion. Of course it's worth nowt if you can't raise the funds to extract it, so the power lies with those who have the wealth to fund extraction. NM employing a highly experienced financier is a good step in the right direction, and Alapala would seem to be a fairly easy 'sell' to funds looking for a swift and juicy return.

Ntbb, tend to agree, I think a lot of investors would be very interested in a 60p bid right now. I know I would.

If BHP were interested in taking the % they have at much higher prices, you would think now would be a good time to make a low ball offer for the lot while sentiment and share price are so low?

As pointed out on numerous occasions by Gary, 60p would be chump change to BHP.

After Bhp paying 45p a share I'd.never thought you would buy it.lower then them, I just dont know why they dont just put a silly take over at 60p rather then paying alot more later on

Yes it does . And with interest rates being so low its a great oppotunity to go it alone or be taken out for a few billion .

Either way as long as the politics stay away its a great share .

Thank you, but credit is due to 'Everlong50' in another place.

The presence of our finance man one hopes will indicate the seriousness of intent by NM to take Solg to production unless of course he gets an offer too good to turn down.

From the article it seems that $2.6 billion would be sought to get to production, which given all the attributes of the project seems small potatoes compared to some mining operations.

Our financier very well thought of, with excellent track record.

Perhaps the question to ask oneself is, would I short it? And if I did could I sleep at night? The answer to both is No! In the meantime bots and boredom will likely see it drift on modest volume.

lefrene - interesting skew on the situation. I agree that it is most likely nothing will happen.

trev1223, as it's the holiday season I doubt pivotal people will be back in harness before late September indeed the new finance chap isn't joining untill then. Which means two possible things, either nothing will happen at all, or it's an excellent time for an outsider to pounce, :¬) My guess is on nothing happening at all.

Or maybe someone will make an offer at 60p. And those that sold will be sick .

There's the 28.5 that i mentioned about 2 weeks ago, will test that shortly, doesnt look like it will hold this time, and low 20s are coming, without any news till year end, not looking good.

It's a poker game in aspic, but the chips on the table are real and very valuable. Solg has just played the highly connected financier card, Newcrest has to wait until the end of October before they can lay a card, and BHP a bit longer, so will CGP be the next to blink?

Not looking good with another court case starting up demanding a mining referendum.

Now looks like this will keep happening until the government stops it or they win a case. Same people submitting the papers, but different regions.

And as Gary mentions the general election is looming and who would want to invest with all this uncertainty. Share could be heading down and yea low 20's easy. Let's hope Ingo has a plan that does not involve massive dilution.

Suggest you all listen to Gary and ignore the random guesswork of the likes of MK.

Seems this has taken so so long.
Looking forward to the day when us Solgers are proved right.
NM has stated he is taking us to production.
It is suggested/confirmed in latest presentation to be feasible and doable.
Not convinced that should an offer be made it would not be accepted.

Gary - what motivates you to write exactly the same thing over and over again, day after day after day? It does become rather tiresome

Whats going to happen in just over 12 months, a general election, and tge oppostion party totally against mining and vast majority of people in equador against mining, i doubt whether this will be bought out or go to production, about 25% chance of either, and as i said 2 weeks ago and was shouted down again, charts point to 28,5 being tested again, will it hold, with no news down until end of year, looking like low 20s, and NM has coursed all these problems, no leadership, no direction.

Yuff

I am sure you are right .

But in NM,s shoes you need to have a plan b and c .

The regionals should have been drilled this year but in now looks like it has gone back to 2020 so the rigs he was going to use are now going to Alpala which just might be a stroke of luck .

While everyone sits and waits for those permits we have 15 rigs producing 15000 meters a month . The quicker we prove up Alpala the better . Its going to be the largest C/G/silver mine in the world . SO lets prove it up and gain a bigger advantage over the competition .

If no one bids ( which like you i find impossible) then he will find a way to take it to production .

I have no doubt a bidding war will ensue.

Solg cannot and will not go it alone.

The quickest way to big bucks is as NM once said we are open for business.

Until that happens what’s Nm going to do? Nothing?

No way he will proceed as if production is the norm .

If it does reach production the price will be in to almost double digits with the copper and gold that will be extracted.
