Last time he went for a corporate action NM startd releasing all the local updates. I would presume the off for Cornerstone is coming soon. Its still the PEA i want though as COrnerstone seem to have some pretty stubborn holders.

SP Angel's view on Chical news Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador

Conclusion: Through its successful exploration of Cascabel, where the company has already established a 2bn tonne indicated mineral resource, Solgold has developed a deep expertise in the operation and management of exploration in
Ecuador as well as profound knowledge of the geology and mineralisation styles in this part of the Andean region. As a result, Solgold's exploration work within its wholly owned licence areas in Ecuador is yielding early success in the discovery of large scale mineralised systems to follow-up.

My opinion BLANCA Y NIEVES will be the last Rns before the cornerstone bid and it will be amazing. They have already cleared off the illegals .

Are we seeing the beginnings of an endgame? NM dressing the shop window to encourage CGP shareholders to swap into Solg where plainly the pickings are going to be significantly richer. More to come.

Peopke are taking about all thus news about the other tenements being for CGP share holders, to make the offer mire attractive, but this news wont be released to cornerstone, these belong to solgold 100%, so why would cornerstone share holders see this news, and as i said before without drilling permits, there is no value.

Could it be that the issue of whether Cornerstone has rights over the Blanca/Nieves epithermal gold is blocking progress on the CGP offer. You will recall that on 31st Jan Cornerstone responded to SOLG proposed offer stating :

"Cornerstone shareholders should also be aware that the Blanca, Nieves and Rio Mira concessions that SolGold incorrectly states are 100% owned by SolGold are in fact within the 5 km area of interest of the Cascabel concession and Cornerstone's 15% carried interest (described below) applies to these concessions too. In fact, SolGold's 85% interest is conditional on it fulfilling its obligations with respect to Cornerstone's carried interest."

SOLG clearly disagreed and say the gold falls within the Blanca and Nieves concessions owned by SOLG subsidiary Carnegie Ridge Resources. Fig 2 in their 20/3/2018 RNS shows the relative positions of the concessions, but I wonder if it is not so clear cut and what this "5km area of interest" refers to that CGP states means the Carnegie Ridge concessions fall within the Cascabel agreement. It doesn't seem to have been mentioned by either CGP or SOLG since SOLG rejected CGP's claim - I wonder if it is in the hands of the courts - or maybe waiting for some drilling of the ore body - or both.

Just my own thoughts on the delay in the CGP offer and PEA. We have just had two announcements about progress in other concessions, I wonder if we will get one about the epithermal gold at Blanca, Nieves.

Today's news is on a new Large Copper and Gold Systems Discovered at Chical
Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador

This is not one of the current 11 priority projects and has not been referenced before (Pascal, La Esperanza and Espinoza prospects). It is near but not in a "protected area" and is roughly adjacent to Blanca and Cascabel. (See )

Jason Ward comments “....The proximity of Chical to Cascabel......vindicates our long-held opinion that we have discovered a new copper porphyry province...”

So we need the permits which should come q3 and q4 .

Terrible to say but do we not think that before we bought these sites we did not have a few holes drilled just to make sure we knew what we were buying....

Come on you do not buy a second hand car without taken it for a spin

Red Cloud's view on yesterday's Porvenir news Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L #ecuador $CGP
Porvenir Potential Continues to Grow
Impact: Mildly Positive

With the discovery of a large, shallow and high-grade target at its Porvenir project, SolGold has identified a potentially game-changing drill target. We believe that should drilling yield a discovery (Q2/19), it could drive SolGold’s share price higher. This exploration optionality is underpinned by the world-class Alpala deposit, that we believe is undervalued by the market. We continue to believe that large mining companies are positioning to potentially acquire SolGold (Newcrest - 15% & BHP - 11%).

Highlights:
Initial results suggest another large porphyry. At Porvenir, rock saw sampling intercepted economic grades of 0.64% CuEq over 147.8m which included a high-grade interval including 0.96% CuEq over 82.6m. Through a combination of sampling methods, the target has a footprint of 1200m by 800m (Figure 3). Exploration work suggests the mineralization at Porvenir could be large shallow porphyry with similar to Alpala and is one of several targets identified.
Drilling should give us clarity on potential. The company plans to complete ground magnetic surveying alongside drilling to test Target 15 in Q2/19. With good initial grades from surface sampling, we expect drilling could be key in proving the potential scale at Porvenir, by determining the depth extent.
Another large porphyry discovery could be game changing. We currently ascribe a value of US$100M for the company’s Southern Ecuador exploration projects; however, wide intercepts (>250m) at economic open-pit grades (>0.5%CuEq) could make Porvenir worth multiples of our current estimates. In our view, demonstrating this exploration upside is likely to make SolGold even more attractive.

Valuation:
Surfacing value at Porvenir could accelerate the expected takeout. We are maintaining our C$1.35 fair value estimate based on 0.90x our C$1.50 NAVPS8% estimate (was C$1.47 - up on Q4/18 financials). SolGold currently trades closely in line with peers (0.43x NAV, peers 0.42x). We expect the pending PEA should drive the stock higher. Upcoming catalysts: 1) Maiden PEA for Alpala (Q2/19) 2) Formal bid for Cornerstone and 3) Ongoing exploration results.

More great results, let's wait and see the impact. Interesting that results are starting to be released, day by day. Looks like some strategy at play, not sure what though. Maybe build up pressure on cornerstone shareholders.

mamfach .. probably an unfair comparison as I guess it's the old saying ... "Elephants can't run" and a stock with a 5m mkt cap will move easier than one with 700m.

But still irritating nonetheless of course
