Yes, a coiled spring in need of a catalyst. My hope is that we will soon get one with another world class drill result which expands the high grade core of the Alpala deposit - we have not had one for several months as they have been exploring to define the perimeter of the Alpala deposit.

Next on my list is an eye-opening drill result from a location outside Alpala, such as Trevino, Carmen and Aguinaga.

This would refresh the Solg story and help to attract new investors.Investors - those who are not chasing the cryptos _ are spoilt for choice at the moment as many beaten down stocks take on a new look with the rising price of gold and silver.

Chart starting to look a tad compressed. Coiled spring anyone? If Gold continues rallying we may get swept up with the POG simply based on our name alone? I have a feeling we might be about to break to the upside. IMO.

One has already alwaysevolving, it's Newcrest. It's a slow burn game, let the prospector exhaust themselves digging up jewels to lay at your feet, take your time choosing the best in the pile, keep the prospector close to you just in case another suitor might cast his eye in your direction. Keep prospector keen by dangling promises just out of reach. Wait for prospector to get so tired that they accept your terms. NM being an old hand will have seen this played out in the past, hence the interesting structure of sub companys that Solg controls. But until we find the ultimate holder(s) of those overhanging 180 million new shares I think we will languish at these levels.

Lefrene, re 11611, I completely agree. Just wish one of said behemoths would hurry up and wade in and make a sensible offer for a take out. The fact that no one seems to be doing so while we are apparently sitting on such resources few of which are seemingly currently priced in leaves one to imagine “why not?” And it’s this that worries me a little.

If Newcrest like what they see and ploughed in money at 41p, I'm inclined to take Newcrest's view a bit more seriously than a journo who has to fill some column inches. This thing can only go as fast as holes can be drilled and assayed.

Mining Journal comment:

Am not a subscriber so cannot see whether their comments are justified. Roll on the PEA.

alwaysevolving, with the world population growing and China and India catching up with the western world and parts of Africa also playing catch-up, then one would expect there to be a growth in demand for useful metal like copper and the security of holding gold against unreliable fiat currencies.

For whatever reason Solg seems to stalled at the valuation of the declared MRE for part of Alpala, the rest of Alpala and Cascabel are in for free, never mind the other 76 tenements plus Australia and the Solomons. Solg must be on every behemoths shopping list, where else are you going to find more than a centuries worth of mining at such a price?

I read the teenage scribblers of China are predicting $8000 a ton copper and $1400 an ounce for gold this year. Can't do Solg any harm if they are right.

"Errk, Errk, pieces of eight my pretties, pieces of eight". Alwaysevolving I wonder how long it would take before the milenials realised the clock had gone right back to the start? :¬)

However if we offered a 3% 'green' bonus for those who took the environmentally and socially responsible course of leaving their precious metal in the ground, then we wouldn't have all the faff of digging the stuff out, nor any of the problems that go with employing lots of people. Instead we could build hotels and bring in eco-tourist-investors to bask in the smugness of overseeing their buried wealth whilst enjoying the self righteousness of being politically correct. They could stand on their balconies and tut tut about the poverty of the locals, the lazy so and so's. Solg should start advertising in the Grauniad straight away! :¬)

Being very rich would be a nice novelty!

With them drilling over 300m per day I hope the labs can keep up with the core analysis. At last exploration report we had assay results pending for holes 26-D3, 29-D3, 32-D1, 33, and 34. So thats many kilometres of cores waiting to be analysed.

The 'top up Op' is getting more generous, at this rate will be able to buy below 25p by Friday. I wouldn't put it past those nice generous Banks who put up the money at 25p to be shorting for a quick turn, knowing that they have a war chest of 180 million shares.

But what if Aguinaga gives you a rolling start by being an open pit candidate? The sooner I see drills on Aguinaga the better.

Is an interesting read on block caving, main points being massive upfront capex to get going and a very long timeline from discovery to production,.

ODR, it should be renamed the '95% theft market', but relax Solg isn't on AiM any more! :¬) I guess with NM holding circa 90 million shares, he at least has some serious skin in the game, unlike most of the hired execs one gets in speculative shares. He's not in it for the salary, he has loads of money already, I think he wants to become the biggest copper miner on the planet. Go down as a legendary King Copper, and good luck to him too.

"Top Up Opportunities" if it's one thing AIM keeps giving

Perhaps they should change it's name from AIM to TUO
