Can we go it alone - No.
Should there be another placing - might be unfair to long term holders.
Plenty of other options.
Sell off some land or lease it out for royalties.
Consider JV.
Be taken over.
Unsure what is behind drop in price.
As always time will tell.

I hope if they need to rise money they will do an open offer and not a placement
I would like 1 in 8 at 35 with maybe an attached warrant at 55p that will get 60mil now if successful and 80 mill more if the warrant would be exercised in the future
This would make a level play field with retail investor

What a discovery!

Not just a deposit, but a district!

Issue is, how much is it going to cost to prove up?

Correct me if i'm wrong(potential investor), but they're not going to infill drill to get a resource until next year. Then how long to infill drill and report an inferred jorc? Late 2018?

Then after that, can they afford to go for a indicated resource, by a massive further infill programme? I guess not, as these kind of deposits never get to indicated due to the sheer size and depth. Then that leads to a discount needing to be added.

Again...amazing discovery. But should they not JV it and offset the proving up costs with a Major?

The TSX listing, with additional investors coming on board(at a price) may prove the funding catalyst that'll secure SOLG's future.

I may put my name on the list of interested parties...

Plainly some players in this market know more than others. The share price got manipulated before the last fund raising, is it the same gamesters again?

Clearly not normal trading with two days running of 7-8% drops. Not sure they would go for as large an amount as 100 mil in one go, but 50 mil at 35p a share wouldn't be too bad, although still annoying in the way the share price drop is being managed

If you was running the company with so many projects on the go how much money would you want to raise to push them through quickly - Cascabel has taken 4 years up to now - I am sure they want the results before they retire .

What price to raise 100 million ?

Great update by the company, highlighting the ever expanding resource and other high potential prospects. I can only think it is funding of the planned drilling programme that is behind the drop. As alluded to by other posters earlier, is there a placing in the offing which is already known to the chosen few, who are selling ahead?

If it is a placing, I would hope they would be able to get it away at least in the mid to high 30s. Much below that would be seen as mates rates and two fingers up to the small PI

But was it really a buy, or a disguised sale? If it's a buy then it suggests that MM's dropped the price in order to accommodate a large buy order. Surely couldn't happen on squeaky clean AiM?

Gold and copper haven't plunged, the $ is a safe bet against the £ these days, and the 15 billion tons of ore in the ground has not evaporated. I guess a case of summer wobbles, eventually the drilling gets done, the resource report is made, the TSX listing is made, and then perhaps the value will out.
