06/12/2007 13:10 | drewz, I think your use of the words 'inscrutable' and 'Chinese' disqualifies you from commenting on this business. Stick to UK businesses - 100% honest & transparent in your experience I guess. | longsight
06/12/2007 11:00 | Same here, Masurenguy. Lots of potential upside if they execute to plan, but you never know what may go pear-shaped with these inscrutable Chinese businesses. Transparency is not great. | drewz
06/12/2007 10:26 | So why have the shares dropped by 40% since September ? No news or confirmation of a rollout schedule. Glad that I only have a very small position here ! | masurenguy
06/12/2007 09:40 | apetley...Odd how SFT'S roll out is misunderstood. It is not an option for an exporting company to use the software, it is an obligation. It is a government programme, SFT are contractors. In addition to the main rollout, SFT also offers a range of additional services, these are optional. The Chinese export tax system means some companies receive credits, others penalties, others are in effect zero rated. Within a single company you could have a range of products attracting credits, penalties or zero effect. SFT has millions in the bank (and growing), a p/e in the low single digits, an expanding development base, protection from external companies and excellent links with the Chinese govt at both local, municipal and central level. The share price may fall froM here or rise, but that has more to do with AIM investors than the company. Sooner or later it will attract attention, it just depends if people have patience. | siwel100
04/12/2007 08:17 | Whilst it's possible that the above is a reason for the current drop in share price I for one do not believe that it's that valid. SFT have a roll out program for export tax software. Changes to either tax breaks or subsidies should not materially alter this as any export company will still need the system in place. Just because a tax changes it does not mean a company does not have to take it into account. They will still need SFT software in place! | apetley
03/12/2007 23:11 | Surely if there were material changes to tax legislation which would materially impact SFT's business, then SFT would have to put out a RNS confirming as much. Which they haven't. It would be helpful if they would clarify one way or the other whether there has been any material change in their revenue forecast model. | drewz
03/12/2007 10:05 | went thru my stop loss this am. So im out..... good luck... | divinausa1
03/12/2007 10:04 | I do think they should make a statement on current trading though. | arthurly
03/12/2007 10:04 | They're profitable, they're worth more than their sharevalue, cash in the bank.... So why the big fall? Worrying that maybe someone knows something that the rest of us don't isn't it?! Think I'll just wait and see for a while. | apetley
03/12/2007 09:54 | Considering how much cash they have in the bank, I started buying this morning. Chinese stocks may be out of favour due to the devaluation caused by the $link, but with the market especially fragile, I cant see a better long term home than this one. | siwel100
03/12/2007 09:34 | exp88 thanks i think its top up time for me ive put an order in with a limit of 13p looks like its being filled slowly | fatfish
03/12/2007 09:27 | fatfish imo, fair value is about £20m m/c (12p) if the problems i alluded to several months ago regarding SAT, and one of SFT's partners (one of the three large regional software companies), affects roll-out, then fair value would obviously be a lot less than 12p. I haven't had any further news on this in the last couple of months, but bearing in mind the large sells going through recently, perhaps someone has more info.? good luck | explorer88
03/12/2007 08:31 | is something going on that we dont know about price just seems to be tumbling on no news | fatfish
30/11/2007 12:36 | Could do with an update on the roll out ! | arthurly
21/11/2007 15:53 | nearly one million shares sold today at between 14-15p imo, sft is still overvalued and is likely to continue to fall to 12p support level. | explorer88
21/11/2007 12:54 | Roll out rolling, but stock market sentiment dire and increasingly risk averse. Still lots to play for here so I retain a speculative small interest for the moment. | drewz
21/11/2007 12:38 | Very quiet here. share price way down. No news from China. Roll out rolling or stationary? | the mullah
15/11/2007 12:25 | SECTOR NEWS. Looks like the government software sector is growing rapidly. | igoe104
14/11/2007 07:41 | Noticed igoe. Might be tempted when I get any more funds. All my Chinese shares at silly (low) prices at the moment though, so not selling them (+ GNG which I hope not to sell for several years as, like SFT it should be a big multibagger imho.) | arthurly
13/11/2007 15:32 | ITS about time this one had some life in it. arthurly my tip i gave you igp. is moving well now. | igoe104
13/11/2007 15:26 | Looks like 100k buy at below mid. | arthurly
08/11/2007 12:09 | Hmm,similar chart to TAIH. Interesting. Could do with some news to stop the SELLERS in their tracks meethinks. RP. | robbiepaul |
