SMITHS GROUP PLC - JOHN CRANE DEEP DIVE

Pioneers of progress - improving our world through smarter engineering

John Crane - a powerful example of Smiths' strategy in action

Smiths Group plc ("Smiths" or "the Group") is hosting an investor and analyst event today at its John Crane facility in Slough, with presentations and a site tour. The presentations will be available to view on the Smiths website at www.smiths.com .

The event will be led by Smiths Group CEO, Paul Keel, and will feature presentations from the John Crane senior leadership team:

-- Bernard Cicut, John Crane President, will provide an overview of the business and illustrate how John Crane implements its strategy to serve its end markets and create sustainable competitive advantage;

-- Sook Won Moon, VP Sales & Aftermarket, will cover key commercial aspects of the business and how the long-term growth of the business is supported by the value it provides to customers;

-- Frank Ma, VP of New Energy Solutions, will discuss how John Crane's expertise and proven portfolio of products and services supports customers in both conventional and new energy markets; and

-- Rob Sharman, VP Customer Operations, will discuss the successful execution from first order through to OE delivery and aftermarket service, and how John Crane has been scaling supply to meet growing demand.
