Well there's the NAV statement:

The Company announces:

Total Assets (including unaudited revenue reserves at 10 December 2010) of GBP21.65m

Net Assets (including unaudited revenue reserves at 10 December 2010) of GBP17.19m

The Net Asset Value (NAV) including unaudited current period revenue at 10
December 2010 was:

Per Ordinary share (bid price) 105.78p

Ordinary share price 92.00p

Discount to NAV 13.03%

Also noted MACF doing very well today after its trading statement.

Ex-div today. Surprised there was no NAV statement yesterday, however looking at the performance of the top 20 it has got to have put on a few points. Portmeirion [PMP] doing well today following its trading statement.

The previously announced record date and ex-dividend date in the dividend
declaration made on 7 December 2010 were incorrectly stated. The correct dates
are: record date 17 December and; ex-dividend date 15 December. Amended
annoucement is now below.

Fell back last week but moved on again this week so today NAV should be around 99p, meaning discount is still a highish 13% at 86p.

13% discount it is, er. was. NAV should be over 100p now, making the discount 14%+, high by recent standards.

Moves since last week suggest NAV of around 97.5p compared to current share price of 85.0p. Current discount is probably nearer 13%. Mind you , that's better than SHD which looks to be about 18% today. Both these trusts seem to be ignoring the recent trend to smaller discounts in the investment trust sector, especially amongst yielders.

Acorn is similar with a 4.3% divi and a possibility of wind up next year I think
- in which case the discount to NAV of 19% makes it very attractive . On the other hand the gearing is quite high.

I hold both SHD and SDV too and was surprised at the divergence.

Started to move a bit. Nearly up to the previous high of this year from beginning of May.

There's been a significant underperformance compared to SHD since the April peak. SDV's NAV is down 2 or 3% since then. SHD's is up pushing 10%. First significant variation I've seen over about 3 years. I hold both.

Apparently , many income trusts are trading at a premium at the moment as investors find it harder to get decent yields on cash.
