I'm out at 87.6p. Nasty loss, but I think it is better to cut, take a loss and move on. Good luck if you decide to stick with it.

I'd say at the very least this company would be foolish to now continue with future dividends

Well if the out turn is to be "materially below" and given the liabilities and pension deficit, you have to question that statement

I remember buying this in 2012

Was a bargain then, but not now

Don't be fooled by what now "appears" to be a low pe ratio

Given the debt and pension deficit

What chance some kind of fund raising or rights issue here ?

Comparison with Communisis update on the same day is stark.

Must admit I didn't expect this size of markdown this morning... 80p seems very cheap if they can recover next year. But of course the size of the if is the big unknown...

Bid 120.25p and offer of 95p - what is that about? Has it gone into auction?

Looking at final results, the co. remakes upon customer de-stocking of book titles, Clays has a big relationship with Penguin Random House(Pearson), one issue Pearson commented upon y'day, not relevant right now, but down the line this may be! Another concern for them with the likely transfer of PRH to Bertelsmann!

You mean boring wait until a trading update in a couple of weeks? Since 2012, SIV have updated after the finals in Nov, Nov, Dec and Jan. I expect there will be an update to coicide with the end of the half-year this month even though it is not noted on the financial calendar.

Half year at the end of the month. Figures due in March. The share price will mark time from here until next news and then we'll find out if we are breaking out or breaking down. It all depends on the outlook.

I'll zoom in a bit on those moving averages. I don't think I've ever seen them get so tight before. The share price has now squeaked above all 3 averages in all 3 charts. That'll give those computer algorithms something to think about.

A close over 135p would be very positive

Simple, Weighted and Exponential. Equal weighting to each of 200 days. Last day is 200 times weighting of first. And last day is given exponentially higher weighting (don't know what power - possibly different ones). I'm no expert and tend to fundamentals but I tend to reference the one that has seen the most noticeable interaction in the past.
