21/4/2017 10:55 | Edgein......I'm convinced that with the EWT (Extended Well Test) Schlumberger will side track a directional drill into the most prolific sands...and render the CPR estimates as obsolete. | ![]() htrocka2
21/4/2017 10:50 | Dr Rosso, I'm just waiting for the spud RNS to confirm that the Ororo-2 vertical is going 250m deeper than O-1 well. If they still want to target that deeper prospect at low cost that will be the time to do it. In the grand scheme of things it won't cost much to deepen the well by just 250m. Most of these Nigerian fields consist of stacked reservoirs just like Ororo and 250m has a lot of potential even if just 10% of that comes in as new reservoirs ontop of the 200ft of pay already identified in Ororo-1. I'd like to see what a few directional lateral wells will do in the G sands, somewhat more than 2000bopd is the potential for each of those completions. We should be looking at 6-9 laterals over the various formations imo without a deeper discovery. Regards, Ed. | edgein

21/4/2017 09:47 | O1 test-flowed 2000 bopd from G and 600 from one of the D reservoirs. D-G zones not properly or fully evaluated until re-drilled via O2. Plans already afoot for O3 and O4. Sub-G and multi-laterals should see much more than 10k mmboepd when this field is in full swing. But remember, this is the Ororo field. The Ororo/95 Block Project is a bigger beast altogether, bringing into play a cluster of marginal fields with combined 200mmboe+. Big boys Schlumb, COSL, Add, Havoc, T1 Marine, ano aren't here for one marginal field. So yes indeed exciting times ahead. | ![]() dr rosso

21/4/2017 08:06 | Oilbuy, Agreed, given the business model, and Bobo being offered more fields for the consortium of multi $bn companies to develop, there's the potential to move very quickly. After the drilling campaign concludes on Ororo the jack-up rig is free to move to another field. If they get another Ororo style development I could see 5-10p quite easily after field development. When SOU can hit £600m in this current market anything becomes possible really, except perhaps £1.2bn unless they hit some kind of monster field below Ororo (a very long shot). But they'll not know what amount of pay exists if any until we get the wells deepened, but the fact that the deeper formation exists and is production in neighbouring fields is encouraging for additional pay and reserves from the upcoming development campaign. Regards, Ed. | edgein

21/4/2017 07:59 | Good to see some more of the cheapuns finding new homes. Ororo and the deeper target just 250m beneath it are the potentially company making targets. Seabed survey should be complete any day now as it was scheduled for early April. Then the next moves will be rig mob in preparation of spudding O-2, O-3 and potentially O-4 cluster wells. SRSP will get 88% of the production for years, long after they've closed on potentially one or more additional field developments. Not only will they get back costs, they'll also get developmental costs too for the three wells, platform, flowlines etc. So within the next twelve months we've the potential to be on 8000-12,000boepd with one or more additional field developments in the pipeline. If there is additional pay beneath Ororo then goodness knows what that will do to the production profile of the field given the 10 untested oil and gas formations already here. Also worth note is the two that have been tested flowed oil from the vertical exploration well. Should be a marked increase from the deviated production/developme Exciting times ahead, once the drilling starts its going to be relentless. Regards, Ed. | edgein
21/4/2017 07:53 | If one suggests 50p they should put a time line on it and a market cap and how it could possibly hit that level. I think it's silly to suggest 50p at this point. | oilbuy |
