Guarantee has served its purpose and those important names that headed it up will likely have been richly rewarded.Whatever their entitlement to ororo ,they sat on it for years and clearly were taking it nowhere.What do they have to offer?Technically and financially I would say we are covered and so guarantee has nothing to bring to the table beyond their ororo stake.Maybe guarantees last task was to cover up the appraisal of ororo and those deeper sands.
It's not too,difficult to unearth who has followed Sirius,s path,which company's .There will more than likely be some association .In regard to one particular company it seems bizarre how patient the lse are being,it begs the question,hinted at on these threads,has the lse been briefed ?
IMDC -gone(nothing mentioned anywhere on resolution of court case)
Afren-gone (no mention of the directors alledgedly fiddling)
Guarantee-gone?(large tax bill)

Guarantee Petroleum Company, located at 21 Salvation Road, off Opebi Road was shut over a tax debt of $13.26million.Sounds more than just a website closure. As Rosso says, what have they been doing to have such a Hefty tax bill.

Ht, news seems to have broken yesterday so, no time for an RNS. It might take a few phone calls to Ondo and DPR to clarify where we are so I would be surprised to see a 7 am. Later, or Tuesday for me

I hear what your saying drr...but the operators Licence would have to returned/revoked by the issuing Authority....then re-issued to an indigenous entity which would undoubtedly be Owena Oil and Gas. If 'Guarantee' are no longer 'players'... why no rns?. It would be handy if, as you say, Schlumberger take over Guarantees percentage......that would be a cheap way out for us.

Bobo has said a few times that we will be a HIGH QUALITY OPERATOR. Our relationship with DPR & federal government looks to be very strong and we've seen various permissions come through recently, one of which can sometimes prove problematic. What else has been agreed that hasn't been declared yet?

Maybe, Ht, but if they have a bloody great tax bill, they might be very amenable to cash for a stake deal, or, might Ondo move to disenfranchise them for tax offences?

I can't quite get my head around this....how can Guarantee Petroleum vanish or be closed down.... as they hold the non transferable Ororo field operators Licence?

Good spot Deadly. I've been monitoring the GP site this past week or so and at first it appeared that it was down temporarily but you could still see the company info and site structure on the search page. Then it appeared that the domain name had gone but the company info was still there...and now you don't even see the company info on the search page - and Sirius homepage is number 1 in search ranking! Plus last time GP website went down I was promised it would be back up in 24 hours....and it was with that older version. This time I was promised.....and a week later it's disappeared completely.

I think we must almost be there now.

Possibly if there's an RTO with Owena or the asset sits within an indigenous recognised subsidiary (foreign technical partner is limited to 40% in a marginal field). Might also be a lower proportion if GP remain, there's no RTO and we need to allow a funding partner to take a slice.

I just googled the guarantee petroleum website and its totally disappeared now, the other day when i checked it come up as being offline now its totally gone nothing there. Hopefully a good sign. Just hope us folks here get a break soon as a lot of man hours of research has gone into this from guys like drichard / sherlock / dr rosso etc

You don't sort 3 gas drills and EIA without having any idea as to how the money is to be raised. These will be production wells, one with a production platform, the other 2 with simple unmanned wellheads. The O2A drill will have been a Schlumberger mdd high-tech appraisal probe. The findings from that will enable an updated cpr to be published by an independent Co., Rockflow.

Initial funding should be in the form of a jv with Schlumberger in return for S taking 20% net profit from the field. I think that full 100% ownership of Ororo will be with Owena-Sirius as a merged entity. GP gone.

I wonder now after our new pm has decided to review the nuclear power station plant at hinkly point she may opt for gas power stations instead and in doing so push the gas price up more☺
