12/7/2013 18:18 | lol !!!!!! Should have been removal of the so called "BOARD" not asbestos cuse it looks like shareholders will soon be removed or am I wrong ????? | hvs
12/7/2013 16:56 | Adam I am working on a major project where Silverdell are the resident asbestos removal and sampling contractor. They are continuing with their works and must have provided the required assurances to the client as to their ability to continue trading - this is a major infrastructure project where the client constantly monitors contractor performance, including financial standing. I am on the site next week and will see if I can find out what has been stated to the client by Silverdell. | kieranf
12/7/2013 16:44 | Does anyone on here work in the same industry as SID and know whether customers are moving contracts to other parties, whether SID are still executing current contracts etc? Thanks | adamb1978
12/7/2013 15:19 | The company is and has paid it's suppliers, operatives etc - i am sure there are probably a few that haven't been paid and are shouting from the rooftops given the situation - but they are paying their bills and have the funds to do so. I do not get this none of it makes sense - and it is certainly not normal!! | erb2008
12/7/2013 11:38 | The art of living is knowing what is possible in any given situation, which is why I have not contacted management. | roddiemac2
12/7/2013 10:18 | Yes Adam, totally agree. Even a reply saying that at this moment in time they are unable to comment would suffice | pj 1
12/7/2013 10:15 | PJ1 - I emailed the Chairman last Wendesday and haven't received a reply of acknowledgement from him as yet. Not too much of a surprise and I wasnt expecting him to come back with nuggets of info however a simple reply from him recognising their duty to shareholders etc would have been nice | adamb1978
12/7/2013 09:34 | The company is frantically trying to save itself at the moment. Banking negotiations don't happen on a timescale of a week but more like a month and that would be for something relatively straightforward. They may have to negotiate a debt for equity swap which could take a couple of months. No one in the company is going to tell an individual anything, all communications must be made to the market via an RNS and that will only happen when they have something concrete to report. While it is hard to accept I would suggest that holders just take this as a learning experience and move on. | salpara111
12/7/2013 08:55 | surely the directors and/or NOMAD have a duty to keep us advised. SID is not in administration. | cnx
12/7/2013 07:20 | Thanks PPL !! | pj 1
11/7/2013 23:53 | I have been involved on a project where Silverdell are dealing with asbestos removal. Checking email communications issued to them it would appear that their email address is either:- firstname.lastname@s firstname.lastname@s Hope this helps, let me know if either come back as undelivered | kieranf
11/7/2013 22:31 | PJI The best I can offer is. Dave Stredder organised the Mello event for SID you could contact him at twitter@carmensfella or Roger Lawson Chairman of the Share Society, or Paul Scott via his daily blog, all three I believe were at the presentation, where contact details were given out. Possibly they might be able to assist.? | yupawiese2010
11/7/2013 21:31 | Has anyone a direct email address for Nutley or Johnson? | pj 1
11/7/2013 21:13 | Promised return phone call never received...or made.....no 'missed calls'' at all today Tells its own story I'm afraid Can only conclude SID Management took Mello for fools, no excuse for not returning phone calls, the absolute minimum any Business should do Appalled pj | pj 1
11/7/2013 12:09 | The only thing you can say in this situation with absolute certainty is that the outcome will not be good for shareholders, it might be a total loss but even if it is not and the suspension is lifted the share price is going to tank. I very nearly took a stake here after the pullback but was less than impressed with the last results so decided to sit on my hands thank god! | salpara111
11/7/2013 11:28 | I expect the same outcome ! :-// | pj 1
11/7/2013 11:26 | re post 1743. i called them last Friday and am still waiting for a reply............. | harry the haddock
11/7/2013 11:10 | Ganthorpe yes you are correct however silverdell is not in administration it is only a subsidiary that is in administration if silverdell was to go in to administration there is a legal obligation to inform the market that company is in administration hence the hopeful outlook people are hopeful will emerge | waynesoton
11/7/2013 09:18 | I have telephoned the Co today and requested an update and been assured I will get a call back. Certainly initial impressions (that can be wrong) are that Silverdell are trading as normal currently. I will post any response | pj 1
11/7/2013 09:12 | thanks for posts guys. The plot thickens. | dasv
11/7/2013 08:34 | Waynesoton - thats all very well but is there any business to take forward? Any new management team would have a learning curve and I am not so sure this wouldnt equate to a greater risk - reminds me of good money after bad! I think I just have to accept the loss unfortunately which is sickening given I was up 50% at one stage - life I suppose! | rat attack
11/7/2013 08:32 | As stated earlier im not a holder, but what has surprised me is that Dave Stredder ( poster daviddosh ) has only posted once since this debacle erupted, to my knowledge. Yet he & a few other individuals, im CATAGORICALLY assured bought out a insti stake only 6- 8 weeks ago, & split the holding between themselves, so there are potentially big holders sitting amongst yourselves, have they approached the administrators to see what possibility there is of a rescue operation. ? Had there been a massive black hole in the accounts, that would have been picked up by now surely !! with the banks crawling all over the Company & the receivers called in immediately. | yupawiese2010
11/7/2013 07:42 | It is just my own view but at the moment we have nothing to suggest that the companies figures are wrong and if they are all correct then personally the best way out for the company would be for Sid to try and convince shareholders to stump up more money via rights issue and issue around £20m of shares and then clear all of the £16m debt and change the directors and the business could move forward in a brilliant position and with no debts and surpless money in the bank as working capital and with the announced contracts would build a better surpless and over time would bring back major value to shareholders and would also likely to become a fantastic company to attract good takeover offers and giving all shareholders a good return. Not sure if any of the big shareholders who risk loosing millions would be interested but if they were it could become a massive profit for them. That's assuming all the figures are all correct. | waynesoton
10/7/2013 22:11 | I have no position in SID but I think it is the Paul Bell you refer to. Appears to be involved at a number of businesses: hxxp://www.investore | rp19 |
