I don't care how they dress it up but whose interests are they serving? They spend weeks with their various advisers lining up the acquisitions and then blast through a fund raising inside of two hours after close of business when many investors will be commuting home. Themselves, institutions and PIs in that order it seems.

Well that is a turn for the better much to my surprise - I got that wrong and I hold my hands up to it. Nice increase so far, quick profits for some.

A premium, my foot, this was trading at around 60p days prior to this placing, other than market sentiment was there any obvious reason for the slide prior to the first RNS?

Still, you maybe better off selling and buying back at a lower level and there are risks with many of the assets in countries that Russia has issues with. Still to be fair it was still a quick painless raise.

Results of Placing and REX Retail Offer

SigmaRoc (AIM: SRC) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Placing and REX Retail Offer announced yesterday by the Company (the "Placing Announcement"), raising gross proceeds of approximately £30 million. The Company has placed, in aggregate, 55,555,555 new Ordinary Shares pursuant to the Fundraising, each at a price of 54p per share, representing a premium of approximately 1.8% to the mid-market closing price of 53p on 22 February 2023 .

The Company consulted with and received strong support from many of its largest shareholders prior to the Fundraising. Consistent with each of its prior placings, the Company respected the principles of pre-emption, so far as possible, through the allocation process, both in the Placing and the Retail Offer. The Company's management team actively participated in the structuring and allocation of the Fundraising. The proceeds of the Fundraising will part fund 10 potential near term strategic acquisition opportunities and 4 organic growth and carbon footprint reduction projects. Taken together, the Acquisitions and Organic Investment Projects are anticipated, should they all complete, to generate approximately £42 million of net revenue, £10 million of EBITDA and profit after tax of £6 million on an annualised basis.

This is a standard capital raising process and existing retail shareholders had an opportunity to subscribe very similar to the institutional. As I said in my message of 31 January they had hinted that a capital raise was on the cards and this might not be great for the share price in the short term. If you are busy or your broker makes things difficult, it is unfortunate but not something SRC can control. Retail investors can buy/sell in the open market. It is not realistic for institutions to do the same as the liquidity isn't there for the quantities they want.If you have evidence of insider trading I suggest you go to the police or other authorities rather than make unfounded accusations here.

All go this pm with both SRC and IES.
For my sins, my online broker is Barclays so I could not have participated. I could not find how to make contact with Rex andikr you Bagpuss67 could not understand why they did not use Primary Bid.TBH even if I had been able to participate doubt if I would have done.
Take your point terry236 about expansion.
I met management at the Investor Presentation in Hampstead last Autumn and like them alot.

Just me that thinks they should slow down the pace of acquisitions and focus on the large group already in place? If they do acquire would rather they utilise cash generated from this large group rather than tap the market once more.

Why not primary bid which is actually feasible to use in these short time frame situations. How can we contact an intermediary after office hours.

I suppose mm's and maybe big boys looking to pick up stock from weak holders 6 weeks out from results. So those big trades on 10th were probably Blackrock selling. IMHO

60p has failed to hold previously so it will be a reason for some to sell.
