01/10/2007 17:36 | thinks seem to be going very nicely at the moment with the new fund pitching in the right market at the right time. Commercial property isn't somewhere I'd choose to be at this point in time but the management team have proved very astute so far so I am happy to continue to back them on that front. SSE and Tom Hunter haven't made too many mistakes in the last few years so there involvement is very likely to add credibility and I expect to see the share register show more institutional interest over the next six months especially if as I suspect more conventional FTSE type stocks start to slip in to a bear market. Director buying at this level seems mildly positive but they haven't exactly broken the bank in terms of financial commitment - hopefully it's the sign of a trend rather than one of purchases | tuffbet
01/10/2007 15:59 | now director buying, good stuff | timmbo
01/10/2007 08:53 | well, I'm in on these for the very long term...multi-bagger punt. Good luck. Chart looking good. Company seems to have decent news flow to drive the Sp. | timmbo
29/9/2007 10:16 | I'll be joining on Monday | timmbo
29/9/2007 10:15 | Thought I would set up a new thread in light or recent results, the graph taking a turn me thinks. 10 Bagger for sure | timmbo
16/9/2007 17:53 | If Skyepharma likes it, don't touch it! | shavian
08/9/2007 18:29 | one of sigma's companies is Micap MIC...been told to buy in heavy on imminent excellent results out in a few days Investor Information Micap Plc (LSE:MIC) is a bio-science company developing patented micro-encapsulation technology that uses single cell organisms such as yeast to create natural preformed micro-capsules for the industries such as food, pharmaceuticals and agro-chemicals. Following the successful flotation on AIM on 7/8/03, Micap has a broad base of institutional and private investors, the largest investor being SkyePharma Plc, closely followed by Sigma Venture Funds. | drjudywood
30/7/2007 17:44 | Despite those worries the recent RNS said :- "The specialist asset management and advisory group said Vincent Tchenguiz's Consensus Business Group's Elsina Ltd invested about 0.9 mln stg into the company for 1.72 mln new shares at 57 pence each, lifting its stake in the company to 9.35 pct." Thus the companies backers seem keen to increase their stakes at prices close to recent highs which is encouraging. | red ninja
30/7/2007 09:11 | Sunday Herald 29th July reports that recent weakness possibly down to the fact that there are ...." concerns that Tom Hunter may have earmarked his shareholding as a potential gift to charity" John Phelps who runs the Herald's portfolio's seems well informed so my guess is there will be substance to this. | tuffbet
22/6/2007 19:49 | Angus Kennedy Morrison seems to be accumulating which has stopped any pullback in the short term.... He's obviusly convinced there is still good value with Sigma in the 60's. | red ninja
18/6/2007 09:42 | Its always worth waiting for the pullback | saturn5
18/6/2007 08:32 | Looks like it could be very cheap to me tuffbet - AGM tomorrow? CR | cockneyrebel
18/6/2007 08:28 | It's difficult to call after such a strong rise - does look overbought short term and of course the announcement of Tom Hunters interest has given a bigger than one would have expected lift to the share price due to the publicity he is getting ight now re his fight with Tesco over Dobbies (DGC). Personally such sudden interest in the stock makes me much more nervous than I was when it was low 20's but like everyone else have no idea where it's going from here. Trying hard to remind myself that as it's difficult to deal in size it's important to be ahead of the crowd, not in it when reducing a position. | tuffbet
13/6/2007 17:21 | As has been said before its an illiquid share and someone bought 250k that seems to have given share price a boost. As for buying selling Tom Hunter bought at 50p not that necessarily means he knows what he's doing. | red ninja
13/6/2007 16:39 | Ok, what the hell is going on here, hovering over the sell button, but would hate to miss out on another 100%. Any views? | nig295
11/6/2007 21:07 | will still drop back to the placing price of 50 though i reckon | brando69
11/6/2007 21:07 | me too i predicted 10% drop today but i was assuming that the tip was the only thing driving it up. seems there was something a bit more substantion than some froth from the 'frith | brando69
11/6/2007 21:05 | Good performance from SGM today . I would have expected it to retrace much more. | james93
11/6/2007 08:22 | Obviously knowledge out the other day of the placing at 50p - adding to the rise late on Friday imv. | tole
11/6/2007 08:19 | Can't short it with IG index otherwise I think it's good for about 10p. Probably a good investment long term but what happened on Friday was just plain daft. | james93
10/6/2007 12:53 | you can't usually trade this in any size so the price will rise way out of proportion to volume on any "tip" buying but same thing of course in reverse - agree with james93 unless you are very experienced buying like this on the back of tip sheets is a recipe for losing money. | tuffbet |
