I've got an entry point of 75p. Same as the placing price.

Even this is a PER of 11 next years consensus, falling to 9/10 on 2011 earnings.

Alot of Buying today. May bode well for a steady rise soon. I think results will tip this either way. Will short or buy on results. I think construction recovery will and is slowly happening so I do feel this has upside potential. Market and consumer confidence creeping back in my opinion but no doubt shockwaves along the way.

Construction and office interiors industries still on the preverbial backside.
Branch closures, manufacturing plant closures(they still retain the debt from buying these companies).....Most of the higher management from 'Komfort' the jewel in the crown have been let go. Staff being told to win orders at 'any cost'...they are practically giving stuff away! Doesn't bode well in my opinion....but time and figures can't lie. All will out at results time.

Well tanners you may well not hold, but a short over the last few months?

The last few months has seen SHI move from 88p - 139.5p Cant see much incentive for a short there.

If you had been following a bit more closely then you may have noticed that I have been saying this Company is overvalued from when it was well over 2 quid, and since it is now struggling at barely half that then I think the share price has reflected it.

Hats off to KingL tho, he was the lone voice of reason when this was at it's peak and all the bulls like Blackrock thought it was going to 50 quid!

Sure BLACKROCK are no mugs, didn't they announce their stake just after the shares dipped below £10?

Probably thought they were buying at the bottom.

LOL

if they are so rubbish ,how come someone has just bought another batch to take them over 5 percent which is 30 million shares, also BLACKROCK HAVE OVER 43 MILLION shares, and they are no mugs.

You're right the share price doesn't really care.

It doesn't care that illusionary growth achieved through an exponential acquisition strategy has come to an end as I had been predicting for some time. It doesn't care that record Attributable Profits of £86m achieved in 2007 (with 20% more locations/staff) may not be achieved again in the next 10 years, and even if/when they do there are now 591m shares to share those profits with.

Why wait 10 years to pay £1.40 for these shares when you can pay that today, just as you could also pay the same 10 years ago? They were £1.25 at flotation 20 years ago. Why just take the last few months trend in isolation when the trend of 20 years is plain to see?

Next years profits anyone? I think we may see 50/75p yet.

I have found that if you watch closely, or just have a look out of the corner of your eye, the share price doesn't really care.

phuckerty.......lol indeed, do you really think I'd hold given those figures?!

The only position I've had in the last few months is short, tho I'm on the sidelines at the mo, but watching closely.

I only replied in a response to adda who was wondering where all the bears had gone!

Interesting in June/July you had contributors who were predicting sub 50p. They have disappeared and you now have those suggesting 2.00.

I don't know about predicting sub 50p, but I'd certainly say that would be a much more realistic valuation.

The current M/Cap is 770M, there's 275M of debt, so you're looking at over 1.BN for a Company that managed to show a profit of 33M, i.e. a true P/E of nearly 35!

Given that there is still little evidence of sustainable improvement in the construction industry then I'd say a P/E of about 5 would be more realistic, or a share price of about 20p.

(Edited, cos had net debt figure a bit high.)

There's a massive amount of recovery hope already priced in, which just can't be justified, imo.
