25/9/2009 13:08 | Charts turning, wouldn't be surprised if we hav a step up from here. | scars
25/9/2009 12:24 | I'm thinking about investoging in SIG for the very first time! What do you think lads!? | shaf200
24/9/2009 09:01 | Can anyone briefly fill me in on the dramatic history of SHI? I am looking for recovery plays and obviously a couple of years ago this was at a peak of 1400 and not having been at this level since 1999. Just a rough outline will do. | scars
23/9/2009 10:03 | junior21, Thanks for your response. Only just seen it. Kanwar, IMHO, no. Chalk & cheese. It would be like M&S buying one of their own suppliers - why would they? | jeffian
23/9/2009 08:48 | Maybe a better buy for one of the big merchant groups Travis Perkins - St Gobain (Jewson) A slight pick up in the market during winter would have a large benefit to SIG share price (imo) it also fits well with Carbon reduction Green lobby. | tiger20
23/9/2009 08:44 | Not trying to ramp...but would sig be a good buy for one of the big house builder? | kanwar
18/9/2009 22:10 | Ian My opinion, for what it's worth, is that the recent rise is comparitively little compared to what the share price once was, so not worth reading too much into it. Generally, I feel that since the placing the company is in a lot better position to benefit from any upturn. Granted, there may be more downside to come, but I believe the upside outweighs the downside with the share price at these levels. As ever, time will tell. J21 | junior21
17/9/2009 12:54 | Just started looking at this as a recovery play. Well done to KingL for his posts in 07; he certainly saw the writing on the wall for this one! I suppose the current odds on success/failure depend on whether we're in for a double-dip recession - the recent rise seems to be based more on a general 'feelgood' factor that the recession is over (hence lots of building stocks bouncing e.g. housebuilders, TPK etc) but this has not yet fed through into the real world where construction is still at a very low ebb. If the housing market remains depressed, the rise in the share price could be a false dawn which is not supported by earnings. What does anyone think? Regards, Ian | jeffian
14/9/2009 09:30 | Seems to be stuck with no positive buy ratings at the moment. It just seems someone out there is stock building?... | kanwar
08/9/2009 09:16 | Of course there maybe a many pullbacks along the way...but these look a solid hold ,imho.... | kanwar
08/9/2009 08:54 | Interesting in June/July you had contributors who were predicting sub 50p. They have disappeared and you now have those suggesting 2.00. When you look at the likes of TPK and builders these appear to have some catching up to do?? Think I may dip my toes in if we get a Sept sell off 1.30/1.20ish level | adda
08/9/2009 08:53 | Topped up twice in the last few days..lookingto break 1.45 at some point I hope. | kanwar
01/9/2009 17:22 | I thought about it Kanwar. Bought more ROS instead. :) I am hoping for over 200p in time maverick. I ike this share. Solid company and in my experience it has more resilience than most on the down days. My favourite atm. | raisinwheats
01/9/2009 10:43 | Down with the rest of the market today, looking to top up... | kanwar
28/8/2009 11:07 | I'm hoping these will go as my Taylor Wimpey are at the moment! Can easily see these moving to 200p - good solid company. | maverick247
28/8/2009 10:03 | Onwards and upwards!! | kanwar

25/8/2009 21:22 | New to this stock, bought in @1.33,looking good to £2.00 imho..... | kanwar
20/8/2009 12:52 | People waiting for results before buying in? From what I can see results were broadly better than expected. I bought recently and am pleased with today to be honest (so far anyway) :) | raisinwheats
20/8/2009 12:49 | Well it looks as though the market likes the results. Definitely looks a safer bet to survive the current climate and kick on once the economy improves than it has previously. | junior21
20/8/2009 08:18 | It was , though debt down a lot | matthewa
