21/5/2024 22:27 | It's sheer ignorance by the market. Thus news was known months ago during the " marginally below "statement and subsequent broker note by Zeus, who at the time stated that exact 13.8 figure. So why punish the share price twice, pathetic UK dawg5h1t city | jsg123
21/5/2024 16:35 | Half the initial fall today now recovered. Any small miss gets over punished by this market even though today's news obviously leaked in advance looking at the fall ahead of today's results. | bountyhunter
21/5/2024 15:53 | 2024 divis to be therefore 14.9 plus 2.5 = 17.4. Therefore c 10% divi based on todays price. Useful in my SIPP | fegger
21/5/2024 08:35 | Those results don't seem bad on the face of it.What are you seeing that I aren't? Seems budget high street brands are unfashionable as holdings, but continue to throw off cash. Similar story at CARD. | premium beeks
21/5/2024 08:09 | Post 2248. Happy enough that I talked myself out of taking a position here | cwa1
21/5/2024 07:30 | Total revenues increased by 1.5% having traded out of 27 fewer stores compared to 12 months ago, with digital revenue increasing by 19.6%. The performance further demonstrates the resilience of our business and the success of our ongoing strategy. Despite a larger than anticipated increase to the national living wage and middle east disruption. Dividend maintained: The Board proposes an interim dividend of 2.5p per share, which will become payable on 14 August 2024 to those shareholders on the Company's register as at the close of business on the record date of 12 July 2024. The ex-dividend date will be 11 July 2024. EPS up at 5.6p/share from 3.1p/share. | bountyhunter

14/5/2024 11:06 | I see that schroeders have increased their shareholding in Shoezone PLC. If Anthony has left the PLC who has or is going to replace him | leicesterboy
09/5/2024 11:40 | Perhaps average in gently That would be my strategy. Just buy a third of your holding today and wait 10 days or so and then the next third etc Win win then if it goes up great, profit, if it goes down you get more shares cheaper | basem1
09/5/2024 11:29 | So stockepedia are forecasting net profit of 10.4 mill this year and 10.5 mill next year. Comparing to to 22 the net profit was 10.8 and dividend 9p on 50 million shares, now 46 mill. Not sure if a special was paid in 22. So is the sustained decline by 20-30% over weeks warranted based on earnings being similar to 22 but less shares in issue. Also it strikes me that volume is hardly market moving, 70k shares sold today, but the spread being so wide just keeps it falling. | jsg123

09/5/2024 10:39 | I've been looking at this one due to the ongoing drift and wondering if it might be a bit "oversold"? Looking at the last update, the profit warning, it's clear why folk have been selling/wary-but at what level does it become worth investing in again? Profit warnings are notoriously followed up by further profit warnings. Will that happen here? Interestingly Zeus, the boker, downgraded their PBT by £1.4 million, with EPS down from 24.7p to 22.4p, which is just under a 10% reduction. IF Zeus are correct, and I assume they have bneen "steered" by the company then a 10% reduction in EPS seems slightly worse than "marginally below expectations" IMVHO and doesn't reflect well on SHOE in my eyes. There's a clear concern that it is a "low quality" business IMO with the threats of loads of savvy competitors like Temu, etc waiting to eat their lunch if they slip up. Against all that, IF it comes in at EPS of 22.4p, or better, then it is trading on a multiple of 8x, which is not expensive IF the wheels haven't, or don't, fall off the wagon! I'm a bit undecided on this one. On one hand recent trading has clearly been fragile, versus a longer term view of a possible buying opportunity based on short term difficulties being no more than that. Anyone else got any, balanced, thoughts? | cwa1
09/5/2024 10:21 | Seems very odd the way the price shot up and then came crashing down on the basis of trading marginally below expectations. Especially on such low share trade volumes. Something doesn’t seem right but can’t work out what it is. They are quick to provide updates when things are going well and we haven’t had any concrete warnings. | forthelongterm
09/5/2024 10:03 | Agreed. I cannot understand why its fallen from 290p to 180p just because they said marginally below expectations... | thecroots
09/5/2024 09:11 | What are people expecting that will be so bad in the results? They will only point to a profit overall | hsduk101

26/4/2024 17:47 | The shipping rates should be cheaper benefiting SHOE. Lets hope this eventually feeds into a higher share price. Patience needed. | fegger
26/4/2024 16:47 | You can be sure that Anthony Smith will be doing his absolute utmost to resolve any issues (if there are any) with the Smith brothers holding such a large proportion of the equity in the company. | bountyhunter
