What's going on here, that's quite a jump this morning! Related to the above?

"Drewry’s World Container Index decreased 13% to $4,168 per 40ft container this week."

Cheers old sport.
I put another order in today but it wasn't filled.
It was a bit too low, overly optimistic of a pull back 😊
Unfortunately my broker not giving me a " good until cancelled" order.
Need to do it every day.

Yes, I rejoined a few days ago and will stay for the ride.Good, well managed business. Experience says, it's very difficult to buy shoes on line unless you buy 3 and send 2 back! Can't do that for school children... supermarkets won't have enough choice, Clarks too pricey for most.

Hi All,

I've taken a position in Shoe zone this afternoon.
Looks like this could be a great recovery play.
Looking rather cheap at these levels I feel.

Good luck.

Reported 4 hours ago:

"Freight charges for container shipments are falling dramatically as China’s exports slow down. The Shanghai export container settlement freight index for the North America route has dropped nearly 40% from July highs."

Welcome news.

Re "1 day old". Someone will have tweaked something on that sites Content Management System which had the effect of making your search engine pick up on it as new. It means nothing really.

Can't be 2016 so that's weird as well!

Maybe an RNS at 7am tomorrow morning and the article has got a bit ahead of itself with the 21/6/16 date due to be updated tomorrow.

If he looted in the presented order, perhaps he was looking for running shoes to aid his getaway..

A man who looted cosmetics chain Lush during riots in Hull has pleaded guilty to violent disorder, burglary and racially aggravated criminal damage.

John Honey, 25, admitted three charges of burglary at Lush, the O2 store and Shoezone in the city on 3 August.

He also pleaded guilty to the racially aggravated criminal damage of a BMW and damaging nine other cars.

Judge John Thackray KC, the recorder of Hull, says he hopes to be able to sentence Honey later today.

I just hope that the staff in the Hull shop will continue to be paid. Hopefully insurance covers this cost

I'm holding, but a tiny allocation and not much under water. It is a real ongoing business with real customers. Lower interest rates and higher wages help.

I'm certainly going to hold.

Its the shipping rates that are holding us back i think - although they have started to ease

Its a solid, debt free business, with more and more hybrid and big box units coming online.

I cut mine last week. You have to think that "news is in the price", but until we see a tangible turn around then I'm on the sidelines.

I foolishly bought into this earlier this year. I should have known better than to buy into retail, but I was encouraged by reports and share price charts that seemed uber bullish. Since then the speed of it's fall from grace has been faster than the cresta run. Does anyone feel there is a come-back kid hidden somewhere here. I'm considering cutting my losses.

Thats a shame.

Cant think it will mean anything significant.

Its 1 shop in 390 and should only be out of action for a couple of weeks. Looks like the fire was outside judging from the picture.

I'm more worried as that i actually own a property that She zone is a tenant of. They self insure and they have business interuption insurance so any loss of sales should be covered.

Looters have really lowered their expectations. I guess there isn't anywhere on the high street that sells tellies any more.
