20/1/2015 17:31 | Thanks Babywolf. | bracke
20/1/2015 17:28 | Gosh Bracke - am sorry. I remember reading a post of yours on the FX and wanted to drop you a line. I forgot and you've just jogged my memory. I hope you are your nearest and dearest are ok? | babywolf
20/1/2015 15:29 | Hi Penycae 'irritating a few people on the BP thread' - surely not! It has to be better than those who post on the FX thread - it's often pistols at dawn but not phrased nearly as politely. I know exactly what you're saying about oil. One comment could have it rocket up and I DO trade oil as if each trade might be the last one at the low price. One day, you'll have to explain what looking after the family jools entails :) Now all we need is for Bracke to check in... | babywolf
20/1/2015 10:36 | Morning Babywolf! Glad to see you're still around, and hopefully making a few quid on oil! Trick there is to stay with the trend, but set careful stop and limit orders when you open a trade. Don't leave it to chance. I remember just before the financial crisis. Goldies wanted to see oil at $140 a tub, and much to everyone's amazement, they got it there. In my view, that caused the crisis, just as much as anything the Banks might have done. When they want oil back up, it'll happen, so watch every trade as if it were your last. I'm still irritating a few people on the BP thread, but like you, I have not posted much lately as I've had a lot on my plate. Things starting to get hectic again with the family jools. Really shouldn't complain about that, but I find it hard to get back into any disciplined routine. Trade well and prosper....... | penycae
20/1/2015 00:47 | Hi Penycae I hope all is well with you - good to check in and see your post. Have been nimble in getting in and out on shorting oil. Its been pretty easy in the main and dont think its bottomed out yet. Technical analysis hard on this as it just keeps dropping and dropping! | babywolf
19/1/2015 23:33 | Evening all. Be nice to get the thread going again..... | penycae
16/4/2014 15:23 | So do I now that I cannot post Cap Spd charts direct. | bracke
16/4/2014 15:20 | Will do Bracke - thank you. I need to master the technical aspect of copying and posting the chart on line too. | babywolf
16/4/2014 15:15 | Ref fx Thread Unfortunately few give reasons for their trades/opinions. You will have observed those who do. AlfG is posting today, he does not often do so but is well worth reading. As far as plotting the best lines, all I can suggest is reading, read wernluck's posts & charts and post your own attempts for wernluck to comment on. | bracke
16/4/2014 15:06 | As its relevant, am posting some of my last post on wernluck's SEE thread! | babywolf
16/4/2014 15:04 | I'm sure that's not true Bracke - am sure you're much further ahead - I haven't really started it. I was still appraising who was credible on the FX thread and noted that there seems to be no technical analysis going hand in hand with trades posted - other than wernluck's. The median line being hit 80% of the time was heartening to read yesterday and I've also noted wernluck once saying "stops are everything to me". I think Ken's somnus programme has some success - when he has posted a somnus alert, it has seemed so off base but was proven to be valid within a time frame of a couple of days. I have also watched Oscar Carboni's pretty crude appraisals on line - he gets it wrong half the time - wernluck is MUCH more accurate. I realise there is a wealth of information on line and knowing what to learn and to dismiss is important. Re the pitchfork method - I really would like to learn how to plot the best lines and give myself accurate guidelines to adhere to. Sorry for the rambling! | babywolf
16/4/2014 14:50 | Babywolf Moving house is a 'pain' especially if you have to do a lot of work to the new purchase. The PF Method does appear to work well. wernluck states that the median line is hit 80% of occasions. You will probably have realised that wernluck operates a r/r ratio of 1:3 which restricts the number of trades but greatly restricts the possible losses. It will take you some time to get to grips with the detail of the PF method. I have been attempting to do so for approx 6 months so not much further ahead than you are. | bracke
16/4/2014 14:37 | Hi again Bracke Am in a quandary financially but have to live somewhere and wont make the mistake I made last time ie sell my home, then be nomadic, then find somewhere that had unforeseen issues with renovation. THis time, I will find something I like first that might need only a cosmetic makeover. Although London property prices have galloped at breakneck speed, when I lived outside of London for over 2 years - nice places like Hampton Court, Epsom and Oxshott - I did miss London and my close friends. Doing nothing right now other than slowly complete my present flat. Trading wise - I would love to master the pitchfork method - wernluck's charts have been uncannily accurate each time - grateful once again for forums such as this - thank you bracke! | babywolf
29/3/2014 11:32 | Thanks Bracke. Just seen Jon's post on FX re Mondays being buoyant days - I would like it if this coming Monday was another one.. | babywolf
29/3/2014 11:20 | Good day Babywolf Hope you resolve your issues soon. Ref The Options Yes although there is another possibility. c) A bit of both. | bracke
28/3/2014 21:34 | Good evening Bracke & Penycae Good to read your posts above. I'm still here but not very active as there is so much else to attend to at the moment. Re your post above Bracke. Presumably the options are a) the DOW is going to trade lower or b) the FTSE is due to trade higher? | babywolf
28/3/2014 10:59 | Good day Penycae All ok with me. Trading very carefully in a market which see the FTSE somewhat detached from the DOW. Sooner or later that will be resolved. | bracke
28/3/2014 10:07 | Morning bracke! Had a lot on this last few months,so I've just been trading shares. Not been posting much, but doing OK on the low risk stuff. Not at home at the moment, so using an i-pad. Amazing bit of kit. Hope all is well. | penycae
27/3/2014 18:02 | Good day Penycae I trust you are well. You have been conspicuous by your absence. Babywolf appears to have gone walkabout and El C is skulking on the fx thread. | bracke
27/3/2014 15:49 | Quiet on here....... | penycae
10/3/2014 18:16 | Sorry Bracke! I forgot to say that Accendo is part of IG | babywolf
10/3/2014 18:14 | Babywolf That's IG ? | bracke |
