Simon Hinks8 MIN AGOMessage ActionsBoris & Nicola, this Winter telling everyone to cut down on Gas use as we are running out, cut to Sir Jim [Ratcliffe] docking one of his LNG tankers in Milford Haven, using the UK as a mere transient vessel for Gas flow to the Continent. Will the Government have the brass neck to ask Sir Jim for some of his Gas? Biden is worth following at this point. His full focus is on energy at the moment. It’s probably the difference between him winning the mid term US elections or not. I’m not sure about his proposed gas tax cut in the US and whether it is short term or not?

John Redwood@johnredwoodYesterday 80% of our electricity came from gas as there was very little wind. It reminds us again of the need to keep plenty of stand by capacity for when the wind turbines do not turn.5:41 am · 22 Jun 2022·Twitter Web App

All yesterdays gains instantly wiped out at opening. Is £20 - £21 the new normal, or do people see further falls?

Alan NorrisCommentators here should make themselves familiar with the Conservative Environmental Network, part funded by a Netherlands based EU front organisation.140 Conservative MPs are members. They may as well be in the Green PartyThis doesn't stop with getting rid of Boris and Carrie. The Green lobby is deeply embedded in the Conservative Partyhttps://www.cen.uk.com/our-caucus

The shut down in refining capacity in the west during Covid was matched by the increase in refining capacity in the east. The west can increase their production by 2% in the 3rd quarter taking them to 96%. The Far East still have ~30% unused capacity to play with.

The transfer of power from the west to the east is the only thing that matters! Long term government vs short term government.

I take it on the chin, Boxerdogz is correct. Gutted I did not cash out at £24.5 which was my plan - I just got plain greedy. Will have to sit and wait as cannot cash out now. Hopefully no more than 6 months while collecting the dividend. You live and learn!!!!!

We do, we do! But then, we forget it all next time around.

At least we do, if we are me. :-)

7:53amChina's May oil imports from Russia soar 55 pc to a recordChina's crude oil imports from Russia soared 55 per cent from a year earlier to a record level in May, displacing Saudi Arabia as the top supplier, as refiners cashed in on discounted supplies amid sanctions on Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine.Imports of Russian oil, including supplies pumped via the East Siberia Pacific Ocean pipeline and seaborne shipments from Russia's European and Far Eastern ports, totalled nearly 8.42 million tonnes, according to data from the Chinese General Administration of Customs. That's equivalent to roughly 1.98 million barrels per day (bpd) and up from 1.59 million bpd in April. China is the world's biggest crude oil importer.Chinese firms, including state refining giant Sinopec and state-run Zhenhua Oil, have ramped up purchases of Russian oil, enticed by steep discounts after western oil majors and trading houses pulled back due to sanctions....
