good report in todays Daily Telegraph business.
Saudi and Russia making the right noises about a deal.
Saudi say that if production is not collectively cut from todays level (96m barrels/day), then the reduced investment will lead to a huge oil price spike in the future.
Future demand is set to rise to 112m barrels / day by 2040.

The message is very clear.
Sell your house, move into a tent, and invest the cash in RDSB shares if you wish to make your family rich.

The deal looks likely to go through. We should know the result pretty soon.

i suspect the shell price is being pumped up ahead of the deal...

Re oil, the number of US rigs in production continues to fall - now less than a third compared to just over a year ago:

Voted YES to the deal as an RDSB long-term income investor (rather than a day-trader) who believes that assembling a huge market position in LNG over the years ahead will be the key to Shell building positive cash flow ever higher. LNG-based energy policies in the UK are representative of wider moves to bridge the gap between decommissioning dirty coal-fired electrical generation and immature green / unwelcome nuclear alternatives.

Shorters gamble the exdiv drop compensates for paying the div.

EI, maybe better to wait it out without clear signals. Although I read there's more bullish bets on oil now than there's been in 6 months.

Whiskey, calling a definitive low price in these markets is impossible,
it is one day against trend, see what tomorrow brings.
Never sure just what you will be waking up to atm )

At least we have made progress from near 12.60.
