25/1/2016 12:02 | I have voted against the deal. I will not make a difference as the institutions have it stitched up, but it makes me feel better. | redartbmud
25/1/2016 11:55 | W1NDJAMMER - "Think gas and you might also get it" LNG is undoubtedly the major fuel for the forseeable future, less poluting than oil or coal, and all the 'renewables' don't amount to much now and even in 10 or 20 years will still be a very small percentage of overall energy needs. So for the next 50 years we need a clean(ish) energy source which only LNG can claim to be. Of course all those eco warriors will get their way..............in 100 years, maybe even 50 years, don't know about you but I won't be around then ha ha. | losos
25/1/2016 11:48 | I should imagine that all you points of view will be different and logical. If you have recently loaded up on Shell then i guess you are feeling a lot easier all round, big divi in a few weeks time and "probably" able to leave intact quite easily. Many ways this oil gig can go, generally speaking though, oil will rise, we need it, it aint a Designer label hat or some other useless gizmo is it? Be patient, dont panic and try and be a bit more pleasant to each other! | flaton2000
25/1/2016 11:44 | Ps Imperial..it's always good to c your occasional post | badtime
25/1/2016 11:43 | Our shares? Who's ours? | badtime
25/1/2016 11:41 | Constructive posts??? LOL ..be more worthwhile if u didn't repeat them ad nauseum imho | badtime
25/1/2016 11:20 | Xyzzy a I don't get ur agenda, are u a shell worker who if deal goes thru gets the golden boot ,if u are u deserve too as u don't seem to do much work, just post ur opinion once and let everyone else make up their own minds ,I am sure they can read between the lines . | 84stewart
25/1/2016 10:39 | you pair can write as many negative posts on Shell and BG as you desire I only ask that you do not constantly repeat yourselves. I have been building a large position in Shell over the last few months, and can see the bigger picture. Think gas and you might also get it !! WJ. | w1ndjammer
25/1/2016 10:20 | Windjammer. It is a pity that you have nothing constructive to say. | imperial3
25/1/2016 10:15 | hopefully you will STFU when the deal goes through. WJ. | w1ndjammer
25/1/2016 10:07 | Oil prices slipping back, predictable.BG deal wrong time, wrong price, therefore as it now stands not in the best interests of the shareholders.Walk away now,and vote against. | imperial3
25/1/2016 09:15 | ALL COULD TURN ON A SIXPENCE WHAT EVER THAT IS | ariane
25/1/2016 08:52 | Ianood. If you are happy with an enduringly low share price, and a prospective cut in the dividend then vote yes to the deal.I am also a very LTH,and like many others the dividend is important to me.I perceive this to be under threat from 2017 onwards,if the BG deal succeeds. We have enough to contend with now-low oil and gas prices. | imperial3
25/1/2016 08:34 | Incorrect Imperial3, I am feeding my future as a LTH. | ianood
25/1/2016 08:25 | Huge gap needs filling..... Shaggy | shaggies_view
25/1/2016 08:22 | By voting yes you are feeding the shorters. | imperial3
24/1/2016 23:13 | Imperial3 - look to the future where LNG will be the primary source of fuel for power. Coal is history green sources are largely impractical. There is not a massive dilution as you are gaining the BG assets which on last week's data are performing better than those of Shell. BVB knows his industry and I propose that we back the man and the Company that have performed so well. Go for it! | ianood
24/1/2016 21:21 | The huge dilution increases the dividend risk because the market is being flooded by unwanted shares, let alone the depressed oil price. The BG believers are just turning a blind eye to the oversupply situation. The Saudis will not cut production, you have got extra Iranian oil to contend with, and the other exporters are desperate for dollars,as they have this one commodity to rely on for their GDP.Anyone who thinks that oil will recover to $60/$70 any time soon is living in fantasy land. Therefore vote no. | imperial3 |
