24/7/2021 08:51 | We all know that the dividend will be hiked next Thursday, but to what? I'm guessing 24c (38% increase from previous quarters 17.35c). Surely this would get the share price moving above £14 maybe even £15? | kelso29

23/7/2021 15:53 | I've top sliced a few holdings so I could add more here. My gut feel is there's plenty of upside to come. Can't see oil price dropping much as demand picks up and producers can't just turn on the taps to meet demand. 18 months of maintenance and exploration underspending impact. | andyadvfn1

23/7/2021 00:01 | IIRC Shell makes $6 Billion more with every $10 rise in crude. The Waitrose deal is minor, but its nice advertising amongst better off shoppers- ie more influential people. Every time anyone visits Waitrose, whether they use EV or not, they'll see Shell branding outside being associated with "renewable electricity". It helps sentiment imo among UK investors. The deal with Deutsche Telekom, announced a fortnight ago, is bigger - 10,0000 charging points, but on street charging will have Ubricity/Newmotion subsidiary branding : Also, Shell announced first gas from Barracuda Project in Trinidad today: "Block 5C, known as Project Barracuda, is a backfill project with approximately 25,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) (140 mmscf/d) of sustained near-term gas production with peak production expected to be approximately 40,000 boe/d (220 mmscf/d). It is Shell’s first greenfield project in the country and one of its largest in Trinidad and Tobago since the BG Group acquisition." | husted
22/7/2021 23:48 | From what I've seen Shell and BP share prices only really show strength when Brent Crude is over $75/barrel. Tonight it's about $71/barrel as far as I can see so crude might be rising but it's not at a strong level yet. | cassini
22/7/2021 23:28 | Broker note negative on oil stocks might explain price weakness; that is on a day crude is strong. "On Thursday, an analyst floated a theory: What if this is as good as it gets?" But I don't have access to full text. | husted
22/7/2021 22:19 | Strange price action on Shell and BP today, anyone want to explain with strong oil price how both sold off? Judging by last RNS, seems no brainer to buy heavily for £14+. | mickinvest

22/7/2021 15:53 | 12:03pmShell to install 800 electric vehicle charging points at Waitrose stores by 2025Electric vehicle charging points are set to be rolled out across Waitrose shops as the supermarket chain expands its partnership with oil and gas giant Shell, reports Rachel Millard. The FTSE 100 company will install up to 800 of its charging points at 100 Waitrose shops across the UK by 2025. Each site will have six 22kW and two 50kW rapid charging points, in a push towards enabling drivers to charge while they get on with other tasks such as a routine shop, rather than stopping especially to charge. Bernadette Williamson, general manager for Shell UK Retail, said: "This is great news for electric vehicle drivers across the UK, knowing they can easily, quickly and reliably charge up at Shell charge points while shopping at Waitrose. "We want to make EV charging as hassle-free as possible and support our customers wherever they want to charge."Under the partnership, Waitrose food and drink will also be sold at 125 Shell forecourts by 2025 compared to 57 currently, and John Lewis online customers will be able to collect their products from 80 more Shell forecourts from this summer. It means more than 1,000 Shell forecourts now offer 'click and collect' for John Lewis. ... Daily Telegraph | xxxxxy
