For what its worth, I opened an Interactive Investor account to sit alongside Charles Stanley Direct. I am very impressed with ii. It's easier to use than Charles Stanley Direct and they are very responsive on queries.

Having just been acquired by II earlier this year it's a case of oh no not again!

With SC from 2008 'til now. Also have an account with II (ex TDW) for 6+ years.
Service was dire when TDW but improved immensely when II took over. No problems since.
II has some features better than SC.
You can sell a holding via a pop-up window in less than 10 secs.
Also when getting a quote the trade page shows all the details including how many shares you get (SC didn't show that).
£7.99 per trade with 1 free trade a month (on lowest 'Investor' tariff.
Sub paid by DD so doesn't come out of funds.
Pays divs just as fast as SC.
Funds available immediately after sale.
Fill/Kill and limits.
Service staff seem very capable.

All in all I was very happy with SC but II almost as good, imo.
Only gripe is that it takes my holding above the Financial guarantee (£85K?)

Been with The Share Centre for a similar timeframe. I think Interactive Investor looks good, both website and App, I miss the clarity of TSC's website and I'll certainly miss their Customer Service. But there is more information for analysis on the ii website. I prefer it's charging structure too. Change is never easy, especially for long held investments, time will tell, but see this as a good move.

Anyone received their Interactive Investor unlisted shares yet? My account is actually with II, so I'll probably be one of the last to be credited.

Are you staying put or switching elsewhere?I don't like the pricing structure from Interactive Investor. And not heard the best about their customer service either.

Sold my remaining holding last week at just over 31pDon't want to be left holding interactive investor shares that you can't trade. Not sure what customer service will be like when ii take the reigns. Thinking I might switch to HL - as they have a reputation for good customer service like The Share Centre do.

I'm with Share Centre, did a telephone deal, feeling I got Share Centre staff moral is low, don't know whether they will have a job in six month when they merge, I suppose.Interactive Investors have a 5 star rating from Motley Fool, Share Centre 4.5 stars.

Actually just looking at II's charges and the super investor plan looks quite attractive - £19.99 a month which is nearly £240 a year on the face of it seems expensive but then you get all UK shares dealing fee at only £3.99.
So, if you do say 100 trades a year you would be saving £400 on the standard rate of £7.99. Deduct the extra £10 a month you have to pay on the super investor plan and i make it £280 a year better off. The more trades you do of course the better off you would be.

I thought like you, but Interactive Investors have a higher rating than Share Centre. 5 stars Motley Fool.
