3 weeks until everyone gets some free toilet paper. Could be a blessing if we get another covid wave and winter lockdown.

"Judgement" is selling before the problems affect your wealth, "lack of" is not selling and just hoping for the best :-P

Would anyone ever trust another deadline issued by these clowns? Can count on three fingers how incensed I've been at a BOD's performance over the last 20 years and they all went the way of delisting.

Hi tightfist, no worries! Like I say its usually guesswork on my part but does appear a bit more positive in recent days. If we can build the momentum it should help get this share going to where most of us think it should be - which leads into tiger's comment quite nicely. Hopefully once the remaining question marks (although it is fairly widely know there are no further black holes) over the accounts are removed it'll help us get back into the 70s/80s. Following that I believe whilst the resource upgrades have been very positive there has been no formal restatement of reserves - if I remember correctly they are aiming to prove up 3mm oz which will be another major positive imo for the share price Further to that once grades are back up and we are reporting 10k oz/qtr that should help bring the average cost down which would be the next driver of the share price northwards, and then obviously slightly further down the line Coringa should see a step change in the company valuation. Mixed in with the possible surprise on the exploration side and that's where I think the share price growth will come from.

And yes nice to see altyn going well; valid point about growth there. The 0.6p days were a great entry point; I offloaded my shares there some time ago and bought more here for good or bad. From memory it was when the market cap of altyn exceeded serabi I rotated - but very good shout on that one tightfist and thanks again for your comments there in the past!

What the management has to do is join the dots here. We are spending circa $5m on exploration and we are two thirds through the year and none of the announcements have impacted the share price positively, if anything the opposite. The expo announcements on the whole seem to be, on the face of it, very good (although the last one was a bit underwhelming) so why the disconnect between positive expo news versus the SP?

Some of it may lie in their failure to build a narrative and feed this out to investors. Benefits, timelines, new resource numbers, asset re-valuation, potential impact on bottom line etc.

It looks like the tide is turning here but it is not easy to get excited about reaching 66p.

Would not be surprised to see the results next week.

O/T: Great figures for ALTN, although a reducing cash balance might be worthy of a more detailed look and the issue of static figures for the next two years (post YE 2021) maybe a sticking point.

'Morning PPVN, comprehensively explained, and without L2 access! It looked to me late last week that there were bouts of upward pressure on the Ask prices which lead to my query. I guess I will need to continue with patience to see how September unfolds..O/T: ALTN is finally on-fire this morning! Cheers, tightfist

Morning tightfist, afraid I don't have L2 - I look at the bid and ask sizes which are usually fairly consistent in that the NMS would be fairly balanced and remain fairly consistent during the trading day. When either the bid or ask depth get shallower the price tends to move whichever way is exhausted - so for example at the moment Serabi have 4,000 shares bid at 65p and 1,000 on the ask at 67. So I'd expect we will see an uptick again fairly soon as there appears to be more demand from the people in the middle.

For many weeks it was very balanced at the same number on both the bid and the ask; think this happened as there was supply available. But the sizes offered and bid now are much more variable so I'm just guessing that supply is tightening in recent days...

Hi PPVN, do you have access to L2? Would be interested to know what depth is left on the Ask side? Cheers, tightfist

Forget charts however positive they might look. This was undervalued at 115p with the prospect of Covid behind us and Coringa production closer every day. The audit mess has hit it but wide people know it's a storm in a teacup. This will rocket past old highs very quickly.

I'm a little hesitant to say it since our illustrious BOD have used it as an excuse in the past to issue shares rather than debt but it seems to me that the supply of shares is the limiting factor here once more - certainly the ask jumped on fairly slim volume over the past few days. Will be interesting to see if the spread closes again today to try and get more supply but agree things looking more positive here this week than they have in a while. About time!

Thoughts: An optimist/chartist would suggest next level ~74p? After some resistance around 66p?
