Unfortunately the board abs big investors are very cosy. It’s a club.

We are not invited.

K52 I agree. The FD should consider his position. At worst there should be a date given to investors when the accounts are to be published. Producing a set of accounts is no brainer. All items in working capital would have been verified by the passing of time, leaving assets and long term liabilities for a view to be taken. If there is a difference of opinion between the FD and the auditors, then imo the auditors opinion should be adopted and the FD's opinion by way of note. The major shareholders will certainly know what is the state of play.

Yes PPVN, it's great to finally see Coringa getting underway. Some interesting messages on minimising environmental impact, funding, cost control and potential for Ore Sorting - and now the possible reduction in Tailings too..Hopefully this is the week for........ tightfist

Really pleased Coringa is now underway. It'll make it hard for the share price to do anything but rise over the course of the development (assuming it goes to plan).

Being an 80-100k producer will help enormously with costs and the bottom line; will be interesting to see what happens from now. I do love the exploration results and still hope for a transformational find from that aspect, but the reality and momentum of Coringa should drag the share price up regardless.

That's good to know kennyp52. Get out when it's rising. That's a great strategy....
Thanks for sharing....

mill - the way I look at it:

Dividends = Jam to day.

Share price growth = Jam tomorrow.

Share buy backs/stock options = Financial manipulation, putting more debt on the balance sheet to indiscriminately buy back shares at what ever the price of the shares are at the time.

Millwallfan - I would concur with what you have said. I, like most on this bb am surprised regarding the delay in releasing the accounts. Given that there is no black hole" and the cash balances at the end of June have been fully reconciled and the forensic auditors have found nothing new, you can only speculate regarding the delay.
It may be possible that they intend to move a substantial part of the accounts function to the UK for better control purposes. That would require more time to set up but this is pure speculation on my part.

Yes MWF, I agree there are a lot of diverse views regarding Dividends - usually I am a "Total Return" LTH investor and indifferent; indeed, I tend to shy-away from high Dividend stocks as IMO it tends to be a compensation for lower share price growth prospects..However I am aware that paying ANY dividend is sometimes a qualifier when potential newbies are scanning companies and SRB are now competing with other Goldies who are also throwing-off mountains of cash and will be increasingly sharing their riches, often through Specials?.So in these circumstances I would suggest that paying a small dividend may actually perk-up the share price, as the accounts saga slips into the background..Cheers, tightfist

Tightfist. There are a lot of diverse views as to the respective advantages and disadvantages of dividends, share buybacks or focus on share price growth so I think the preferred strategy depends on ones personal investment strategy. Traders are obviously more interested in share price fluctuations rather than dividends whilst some , like me, tend to hold for the medium term hoping for a decent increase in share price to fund my retirement spends ( I’ve been waiting for £3 now for some time) whereas those in for the longer term presumably seek a nice balance between a sustainable dividend policy with some capital growth. I guess you ‘pays yer money and takes yer choice’ 😂
I’m sure I am one of many LTHs who are very disappointed with the recent share price having invested based on an expectation of 100k ounces of gold production this year or next. Had we been anywhere near that at current and projected PoG I’m sure we all agree the share price would be several multiples of where we are now. I will continue to hold as I still believe in the fundamentals here as do I imagine our significant major shareholders. GLA

Whilst I am a fan of having erased the SRB debt the market seems disinterested? So maybe it's soon time to announce a dividend? 2% pa would cost a mere £1m and would be highly affordable - and create an unmistakable signal.Cheers, tightfist

Furthermore, on 27th August: ".....The Company also advises that it will publish its interim financial results for the six month period ended 30 June 2021 prior to the end of September 2021"

Looking at the 12 month gold chart in broad terms it appears that the average PoG for Q3 should be pretty similar to Q1 so being debt free the bank balance should have risen nicely. Only 2 weeks to go for accounts and a clear statement the forensic auditors have not found any further losses so hopefully from October a line can be drawn, PoG will stabilise or increase and the company can start moving forward again.

If they continue that trend this should move this share but the way the market is viewing this is that the company cannot continue this momemtum

Remember 18th June they treated us to a cash forecast ending Q2
"Cash balance at end June 2021 projected to be in excess of US$17.25 million."

Wonder if we will get a Q3 cash forecast.

On the 15th July note "Cash balances at end of June 2021 were US$18.1 million with all debt obligations now repaid. Cash was higher than initially forecast partly because of higher gold sales in June than originally projected."

So looks like they plan to give the results as late as possible in September. They need to update the markets as well as the real owners (we the shareholders) where they are at now since the YE and how well they are fairing and what we should be expecting in the next 6/12 months time.
