“What is really significant is how quickly it went through that $1,923, which was the previous high. The other thing which was … very, very important was the fact that it went through $1,800, and with similar ease,” said Barry Dawes, executive chairman at Martin Place Securities. “That’s basically saying to me that this is a very, very strong market.”

“I’m looking for $3,500 within two years,” Dawes continued, adding that some consolidation is “probable,R21; but the underlying strength of the rally is “very significant.”

According to the executive, a lot of gold has been absorbed by Asia and the Middle East, which has left the West “at the margin, underweight.”

“The West has to rebuild its position and the only way they’re going to do that is really by pushing the price higher,” he said.

Dawes added that there are many issues that drive price moves in the precious metal, including currencies and coronavirus stimulus packages. “At the end of the day, it’s just going to be a very tight market, and particularly with the central banks having bought more gold over the past few years.”

stan6772 You obviously don't understand timeframes, or the definition of 'trading'. Some trades I take are position trades and swing trades and run for weeks or months, not necessarily in and out in a day, so a 5 or 6% spread is insignificant. Reiterate: you are a clueless eejit.

What's crazier is the clown suggested this is a one trick pony. It's not but if he thought that it's not for TA.

You're looking even more stupid with every post. I don't think you are receptive to instruction but I will try to help you. Look out for negative or positive divergences in RSI depending on whether overbought or oversold.
I don't.believe you are a successful trader because you wouldn't be here. Why make life difficult for yourself - trade something that has tight spreads and is very liquid. You won't find that here. TA and charting works with mass trading psychology - SRB is not a trader's share.
Here endeth the lesson.

And how long have you been successfully trading for a living? Eejit...

"RSI levels of 80 or above are considered overbought, as this indicates an especially long run of successively higher prices. An RSI level of 30 or below is considered oversold. As the number of trading days used in RSI calculation increases, the indicator is considered to be more accurate"

Very odd prices going on - sales / buys??? All over the place. Something is up and the MCAP is ridiculously low. Hopefully whatever it is will end. I assume Coringa isn't included in the NAV as the acquisition isn't complete. Will double it.

I believe it's in people minds. Coringa license is a major milestone. It's the final hurdle, bar time, to 80,000 - 90,000 ounces. Then we have the MASSIVE exploration potential.

According to Jeffrey Halley, a senior market analyst at OANDA, gold’s record run may gain further momentum on technical buying and as stop losses are taken out. “The move to $2,000 an ounce will happen much more quickly than the move from $1,800-$1,920,”; he said.

Loganair, I would disagree with your covid Brazil theory, I hold Horizonte Minerals and they are trading upwards and they are in Brazil.

By my sums we are pretty much there in terms of $1.5mm worth of CLNs. OILQ trades have now reached 1.48mm shares since 3rd July so I'm looking to see all trade conditions with the OILQ disappear for the moment. And hopefully a rise now.
