Possibly right Loganair, but as stated above, the gold price has made up for modest reductions in output - and it gives leverage to the share price for when production does return to forecast levels once Covid is (hopefully) brought under control in Brazil. It's no coincidence that Covid has hit hardest those countries led by hard-line nationalists - but Bolsonaro really takes the biscuit for his aggressive denial of the severity. Populist, infantile leadership from them all - but people are eventually starting to rumble them.

Gold has smashed through its all time high in USD and is up 2% in most currencies.

I believe one thing that is holding Serabi's share price down is due to Covid being out of control in Brazil with official Covid deaths approaching 90,000 and in Brazil's case many say these numbers can easily be trebled to get the real number of Covid deaths.

By my calcs 152k so far today bojo so somewhere between 50k and 100k I think.

Then the OILQ trades should disappear. If they do then its Greenstone imo - and the price should go up dramatically.

Hiya PPVN, you may well be right, this is all conjecture. However, if I could sell something with absolute certainty on Monday for 89p and be pretty confident I will be afforded the right (ie CLN) to re-purchase it for 76p from this Friday, I would be very thoughtful! .Cheers, tightfist

Cyberhub, a little more info. Serabi have to progressively settle the final bill for purchasing Coringa mine ($12m) and then equip it (PEA indicated $20-25m) during the next two years. And meanwhile they wish to continue with aggressive exploration activities around Sao Chico..They have plenty of cash and (COVID reduced, PoG enhanced) cash generation - but insufficient to fund all of this simultaneously. Hence you will see lots of references to progressive issuing of Loan Notes tranches authorised on 26th Feb..Hope that helps, tightfist

Newbie here. Just a query - why are Serabi seemingly involved with a 'death spiral' lender when they have cash in the bank and the gold price is rocketing?

Hi PPVN, it will be interesting to see if your theory holds this week..Is it conceivable that Greenstone may decide to mildly sell-down their existing Shares holding and then top-up over the next few months with more CLN Share conversions at 76p?.Cheers, tightfist

Good vol this am; about 100k more OILQ trades gone through by 8.30am. Should run out of them today, if the theory holds.

Would think that would push us through 100p pretty easily; would be market cap of £59mm which still leaves a long, long way to go imv.

Took a small position in this last week, after being alerted to it by that bit of shared experience of our mutual friend t180 (he probably thinks that's a dart reference).

As the perfect contrarian indicator with his chart calling it down, life did its usual thing and proved him wrong again.

Must remember to thank him for bringing it to my attention.

Well that’s 90p hit but not cashing in this time at 32% rise ... as you say Boris too much potential value coming through in license news and with production already known this can only IMO go one way

Rerate starting? Imagine the rocket under these if we are plus 100p and the license approval news lands - 130-150p?!

Yes Loganair, your longer text is more comprehensive, the timing of completion of multiple transactions often seems to enable a reporting delay of several months? IMO this causes opacity in dealing which doesn't help the PI understand what is really going on....... (eg Woodford disposals during 2019)..IIRC the threshold is actually 3% for LSE (eg ALTN) and 5% for AIM (eg Serabi). And IIRC the trigger is finally passing the whole % number - there seems to be a lot of selling- down to a %'age just below the whole number?.Thanks Sherry. I have left it a little late in life to move to Canada and acquire 10% plus of Serabi........Cheers, tightfist

Canadian securities rules for 10% and 20% holders.

What Must I Do if I Become a 10% or Greater Shareholder?

What you have to do when you become a 10% or greater shareholder depends on whether or not you are an eligible institutional investor. If you are, then unless you are disqualified, you are eligible to use Canada’s alternative monthly reporting system (AMR). You will have to file your initial AMR report with the Canadian securities regulators within 10 days of becoming a 10% shareholder. After that, you will only need to file another AMR report within 10 days of the end of any month in which your ownership position, measured at month end, has increased or decreased by more than 2.5% from the last reported position or decreased below 10%. As an eligible institutional investor, you will also be exempt from Canada’s insider reporting requirements unless you are disqualified from the insider reporting exemption.

What Happens if I Become a 20% or Greater Shareholder?

Do not become a 20% or greater shareholder without first speaking with Canadian legal counsel. Canadian securities laws prohibit acquisitions of outstanding securities of an issuer that result in an investor holding 20% or more of a class of voting or equity securities of a Canadian public company without making a formal takeover bid (that is, a public tender offer). There are a few exceptions to this requirement, including purchases through private agreements and limited public market purchases, but it is important to get specific legal advice about them before increasing your ownership level to 20% or more.
