Hence the word 'maximum' in my post for prudence.

IMHO CV will likely have a negative impact on the 'total' world economies of 2-3 years. However, individual companies impact will range from major benefit (e.g. supermarkets and online delivery companies) to permanent closure/administration. Hopefully for SRB we will see a maximum closure/reduction in output of 6 months then back to normal with the income reduction 'buffered' by the strong POG and robust cost control. Time will tell

Hi Sherry,.Thanks. What I have in mind is that presumably the Sprott loan will finally be paid-off at the end of June, at which point SRB will be able to transfer the security package to Greenstone..More significantly gold production may well have dipped - elsewhere I have seen continuing production has dipped by ~15%. On the brighter side(?) National/Pará Travel Restriction Condition may be extended and hence they may have the opportunity to continue with organic cash generation in the intervening period and hence the ultimate number of CLN's subscribed-for will be reduced? And therefore less prospective dilution...... However, one has to reconsider the prospective feasibility of the new debt package originally pencilled-in for Q4..Of course, SRB will require sufficient cash to build and equip Coringa - reinstate the exploration programme around SC, and expand production (at SC?) but if production can continue at, say, 3kOz pm and PoG in Reis remains around this level......... .Plenty to go for! tightfist

I quote from the April 14th 2020 SRB/SBI Press Release (PR:

2020 Production Guidance

At this time, the impact of CV-19 has not directly affected production, but, as stated above, the Company cannot, in the immediate term, refresh the workforce at site and these employees have undertaken to extend their work rosters as a result. The Company will continue to make its best efforts to maintain production levels as close as guidance is practical being mindful of providing proper rest schedules for those staff at the mine site. The Company will be constantly monitoring this situation and providing further updates as necessary.

Executive team put quarantine measures in place prior to April 14th 2020. Takes 5 to 10 business days to put out a press release given approvals etc.

Although the population is around 209 million, the shape of those curves on Wiki looks pretty ominous and Pará state is quite hard hit, although the localised severity is unknown..We need to individually anticipate the success of operational precautions being taken by SRB - I get the sense that many on this BB are anticipating that CV will eventually strike inside the mine camp with a corresponding cash generation shortfall - delays - yes; strategic intent - maintained and fundable - but no IAI!.In the midst of this complexity, what would a worst-case scenario be?

May 7: Several cities in the northern states of Amazonas and Pará begun issuing lockdown measures in order to curb the spread of the virus. Other cities in other states consider doing the same.

OMG - can't you read!!! I've said closure priced in. This mine and part of Brazil doesn't have a magical virus barrier. Like businesses all over the world, it'll be a victim. The implications are know - a 1,2 3 month closure, no output, no revenue. It doesn't change the future. After shut down they'll restart and get back to 40,000 ounces, develop mine and grow to 100,000 ounces. Plus that have the exploration potential. That I think has stoped to ensure the shutdown affordable and future secure. If they weren't shutting down the price would rocket. Are you aware how few shares are held by PIs. If some try to sell on news of a shut down, the price will drop. Smart people will buy and it will bounce straight back. The major holders aren't selling. You huff and puff but it's 85p with the likelihood of closure!! The market knows!!!! YOU MOR

millwallfan, no where near all time highs. Don't forget a couple of consolidations.

edit: £8 in new money in 2011.

Yes encouraging. We still have the risk of a closure. This will delay plans for a month or three, stop output, hence burn a few million of cash in the bank. Not a biggy. Next positive has to be the license approval for Coringa. As time ticks buy we are making money, paying off debt and reducing the size of the eventual convertible loan. Get Covid behind us, license in hand, cash for mine development it's going to be a linear rise from 100p to 200p. Expect closer to 300p when Coringa starts production.

Fantastic that we are around all time highs and still in the middle of major world uncertainty re CV and economic downturn. Hopefully POG and resource updates will sustain this range ready for further gains as output grows over next 24 months.
