Aviva chooses Spring Tue, 14 Apr 2009

Insurance group Aviva has selected professional recruiter Spring Group as UK master vendor to supply all its business change and IT contingent workers.

Representing £50m of Aviva’s resourcing spend, the service went live in January, initially for three years, and will drive cost reductions, quality improvements and compliance to FSA regulations........................... abit more

...........he Group will again put in a performance in 2008 broadly in line with market expectations. Revenue and net fee income are expected to increase by around 20% and EBITDA by approximately 14% year on year with net cash at the year end expected to be circa £40 million (1H08 £26 million)................

Great results and another positive day - pity the interim was not increased at bit but bearing in mind the crdit crunch it maybe a good idea to hold onto the cash and look for those value-enhancing acquisitions.

Trouble is with the economic environment heading down rather rapidly will the recruiters begin to suffer due to falling demand for new employees/contractors.....my guess is they will......if we get to cash equivalent I'll buy back in :-).......until then I'm watching from the sidelines!

It seems to me they are understating their success over the past couple of years from todays update. I expect to see this continue its northwards move to results. Target has got to exceed its high of last year imo.

The speed of intergration since the Glotel acquisition has been remarekable.

2007 was a year of transition at Spring Group PLC, as its business focus changed in favour of Managed services, Recruitment Process Outsourcing and Professional Services.

The group also expanded its geographical operations in the period, both by acquisition and by a number of new office openings. Spring's overseas operations now represent approximately 20 pct of group net fee income on a run-rate basis, a figure Spring intends to increase as the roll out of the strategy continues.

Glotel has now been fully integrated into Spring and has traded ahead of the group's expectations since acquisition.

Spring experienced a strong final quarter as the new staff employed and the new offices opened in the first half of 2007 began to produce returns. Year to December 2007 pretax profits are forecast by the company to rise to 7 mln stg from 5.4 mln, throwing up EPS of 3.7 pence against 3.2. The total payout is likely to edge up to 0.5 of a penny from 0.4. acquisition of Glotel.

Not really a chartist I'm afraid.....even with this mini rally since the low 40s SRG remains undervalued....low p/e and growing cash pile of £35mill+
