14/6/2024 11:35 | Any bank tax would hurt the big 4, so if anything smaller players such as STB would benefit in competitive terms. | ![]() riverman77
14/6/2024 11:25 | Until they get in. All banks need do is pass it on to account holders or reduce savings rates to cover the tax. | ![]() p1nkfish
14/6/2024 11:10 | Probably some spillover from European banks. I was worried Labour might have some kind of bank tax but we've been spared that. | ![]() 34adsaddsa
14/6/2024 11:03 | Volume low. | ![]() p1nkfish
14/6/2024 10:41 | Hmm, quite a pullback from that spike. Nearly pressed the button to sell at 920p or so but trying not to trade so often and thought there might be bid rumours about to emerge. More likely to top up than sell at these levels. | ![]() tiswas
14/6/2024 10:22 | I was pointing out where pvb could quickly find the information I was referring to. | ![]() 34adsaddsa
14/6/2024 06:08 | That’s banking No? Why wouldn’t they show it in every facet of what they do? | ![]() deanowls
13/6/2024 18:35 | No? STB show the NIMs in different segments of the business in their year end results presentation. | ![]() 34adsaddsa
13/6/2024 17:02 | "NIMs"? Does STB have a large US property portfolio? | ![]() pvb
13/6/2024 16:54 | The real estate NIMs look terrible: a continuous downward trend. | ![]() 34adsaddsa
12/6/2024 13:37 | Glad to see the Capital Markets Day announcement for Real Estate finance division - 3rd July. Get out there and bang a drum. | ![]() p1nkfish
03/6/2024 13:42 | I think rates will account for a lot of it. Swiss moved first, others following, US probably last. Fact is the stress is finally showing up and when employment rolls-over its hard to reverse the trend lower as lay-offs accelerate. Guess election in Summer may be to avoid being after cuts that look political or because this is as good as it gets for a while and cuts will follow to try and get business activity back up?? Guesses. | ![]() p1nkfish
03/6/2024 13:27 | Probably still below half of current book value. Macro environment not bad. Rate cuts coming in the next few months. On target for £4B loan book and greater shareholder distributions. Still makes a good M&A target. It'll keep going up IMO. | ![]() 34adsaddsa
03/6/2024 13:06 | Next resistance (which used to be support) £10.40 ish? | ![]() apple53
03/6/2024 11:29 | Positive banking sector. Even NatWest up 40% in the year. STB also fundamentally cheap but held back by perceptions of non-prime customers perhaps? | ![]() bones
03/6/2024 10:39 | The "sells" are possibly "buys"..... | ![]() garbetklb
03/6/2024 10:10 | sells 58k: buys 5k. Price rise 11%. Please explain? | ![]() retsius
03/6/2024 08:38 | Tipped somewhere? | ![]() tiswas
30/5/2024 15:59 | Sellers getting cleared out. | ![]() 34adsaddsa
30/5/2024 14:16 | Needs a little more volume but certainly, at the moment, highest price on the weekly since Sept 2022. GLA. | ![]() p1nkfish
30/5/2024 11:07 | Could be breaking out. | ![]() 34adsaddsa
27/5/2024 20:15 | May well avoid a hit on the Ted Baker loan:- "..Administrators said the £15.6m owed to Secure Trust is expected to be paid..." | ![]() jeff h
21/5/2024 22:47 | STB advised in January that a small number of motor finance agreements (circa 5% to 7%) between 2014 to 2017 contained a discretionary commission arrangement. It should also be noted that motor finance is a fairly small part of STBs business. | ![]() 1tx
21/5/2024 12:32 | Look over some previous posts. Nothing burger for STB. | ![]() p1nkfish |
