Sheep_Herder - Are you using the price SDX is getting at Gemsa? I think that's a special situation, but I don't know the details. If the price was really ~$1.00-$1.50, no one would be drilling....

Deltrotter - yes, unlikely. I guess I'm still a little shell-shocked at the nasty drops in Gemsa and Meseda valuations in the last presentation, and I'm too ready to believe the worst about them.

A bit tetchy on here this evening. Chill guys we are on to a great thing here. No need for all the speculation this soon. SD has huge potential and that potential will out in to a much higher share price in time. As for being annoyed as to whether to buy or not because condensate has not been mentioned, have a word with yourself :-/

There's a 9X difference in the price per MCF for Morocco and Egypt.

Cash - Interesting thought about the difference between upper and lower sections.

Tom111 - If you think the difference between dry gas and very wet gas (which is what 70 bbl/mmcf is) is not worth mentioning, perhaps you should run the numbers, or get someone to do it for you.

Surely they are unlikely to go from thinking there are 10mboe condensate to there are actually being 0boe?

That's right Cash, still more testing to be completed, lets not get too carried away. And as for outlandsih revenue forecasts, we can all do without that..

Brasso - I think you should have been using the $41/boe price that is in the Q1 results. However, that doesn't take into account the net price per MCF is way lower in Egypt than Morocco so that will skew the results to the down side.

I think I'm probably more on TGG's side regarding your optimism.

Public heel,That was my initial thought on the matter, I felt a little disappointed. But there are 2 anomalies in the RNS that indicate further info will be outed in due course that may well deliver a different perspective.Firstly - the fluid sampling, indicates they have some expectation of condensates, or at worst NGL's (natural gas liquids) both of which are high value products. They have only tested the upper Abu Madi section but fail to detail the parameters of the section under test. It could well be the lower Abu Madi is also flowed and tested with liquids content.Alternatively, it could well be that the upper Abu Madi only flowed dry gas as per RNS and that's how the other sections will flow aswell. We'll have to wait and see.One thing for sure, SDX tend to release info as operations progress. We heard about 65ft net pay, then we were informed later it was 82ft net pay as a fuller analysis came in. At the moment it seems to be a fluid situation where info is still feeding through from ops, being analysed then reported.Let them carryout further testing, then we'll found out the true composition of the discovery and it's economic merits.Cash

Yeah, they're going to test the fluids in their dry gas. Pretty amateurish public relations, and hardly the first time with these guys. If I sound somewhat miffed, it's because they've left me not knowing what to do, and thinking I may be missing an opportunity by not buying more today.

Brasso3, you could try & back up your ridiculous claims for revenue of "$127-164 million". As you've resorted to childish name calling I assume you've realised your claims can't be substantiated....

Go on, give us all a laugh & share your figures! Or did you just make them up?

Sheep Herder

As stated above I am talking about revenues and the production numbers of 7000 - 9000 BOEPD for 2018 are conservative IMO.

7000 BOEPD x $50 x 365 = $127m
9000 BOEPD x $50 x 365 = $164m

Does giving yourself a grand BB name like 'The Great Geraldo' help with an inferiority complex that you have!

'The well has now been shut in for an initial build-up after which a series of additional flowing periods will be conducted and fluid samples taken.'

fluid samples does not mean gas!

Brasso, at least you acknowledge your wittering about "$127-164 million in revenue" is garbage. We're making progress.

Still not sure if you're clueless or setting out to deliberately mislead.

The NR said "dry gas". Dry means no liquids. So did they screw up in saying they expected up to 70 bbls/mmcf, or did they screw up in using the word "dry".

You'd think that they'd get something like this right, or at least be quiet about it. At 70 bbls/mmcf, the liquids could be more than half the value.

TGG

I was using conservative production numbers of 7000 - 9000 BOPED for 2018!

Do you think after this massive success at SD they will just stop and settle for 26 MMCFD?

I expect there will now be 2 or 3 more wells there in the next 12 months.

To make a big issue about the government royalty is pathetic considering we have a commercial gas discovery of 150 - 300 BCF just announced.

ThelargerKhan,$3.50-4.00 is what they'll receive for gross sales gas before government take. The actual realised netback (per therm) to the company is $1.00-1.22 as evidenced in annual and quarterly results.Cash

Answer the question - where does your "$127-164 million in revenue" come from?
