I don't believe it - another bank holiday bonus!

Here's an alternative link to save those half asleep like myself from having to scroll back too far!

...Paul Welch, President and CEO of SDX, commented:

"Underpinned by the strong local gas demand, today's news is highly positive and confirms the overall success of the recent SD-1X campaign. Not only do we have this excellent result in the upper Abu Madi section, we also remain very upbeat about the oil potential in the deeper Cretaceous horizon, where a working petroleum system was also discovered.

Whilst the work of bringing the gas discovery into production is our primary focus, we are also planning for further drilling in the lower Cretaceous age horizons where we see additional potential. South Disouq remains, however, one strand in the SDX story. Concurrently, we are extremely active across the rest of our North Africa portfolio, which will include development and exploration drilling in Morocco in the next quarter. We look forward to providing further updates over the coming months."

Just a quick break down of the potential production number of this single well with local gas prices around$3.75 per MCF.

25.8 (MMCFD) x 1000 x 0.55 (NRI) x $3.75 = $53k/ day

$19.4m/ year

The South Disouq concession consists of a 1275 km2 acreage position in the Nile Delta. Estimated to contain 1.3 TCF of resource potential (P10).

I wonder if there will be a revision to than number.

I believe this drill will prove up between 150bcf-250bcf of gas. They will definitely fast track south Disouq now, with drilling being very cheap it won't cost us and our partners much. On average it will cost around $3m per well. We will drill 5, share it between our partner that around $8m cost to us. In Morocco where we will drill 7 wells, it will cost us $1m per well, and take only two weeks per well. We have $21m in bank, $16m in receivables due, and making around $2-3m free cashflow per month. Plenty money flowing in to develop both assets.. MKT cap 104m.... Rerate coming!!!! Big one...

AMER are just below 5000 BOEPD from memory.

SDX should be around 7000 - 9000 BOEPD in the next 6 - 9 months.

There are no other AIM companies with production at this level (4000 BOEPD) with a market cap anywhere near £100m. The sale must surely be over now!

Malky said a good gas find here in this well and his tp was £1...I think we will be moving towards there now..Don't forget we have only surveyed just 25% of our license.South Disouq is massive for us...

Yes agreed cfcc had they not experienced difficulties and not wanting to jeopardise the gas find I think they had seen enough to KNOW there is the potential for commercial oil there.

The SD licence is going to be a gem and not only should the company take on value now for this gas find but the definite potential for more such gas finds and possible potential of good pools of oil.

I bet PW can't wait to get another drill in to test the oil.

Hopefully this potential will all become clear in a CPR which could make very interesting reading and be a game changer for the share price

Well well, they did it again on bank holiday...I was expecting good flow rates with all the characteristics mentioned but this has surpassed it.27mmcf from one well, this is around 4300boepd..Don't forget they have other almost identical structures which will bring further gas.. Yesterday I did say by h2 2018 we could get around 7500boe net from SD alone. Now the MKT will take notice, the 100m MKT cap is just too low ...

Agreed cfcc - sounds like they are uber confident about the oil now....

I notice the word "significant" gas discovery was used not just gas discovery.

I also note in PW statement...."we also remain very upbeat about the oil potential in the deeper Cretaceous horizon, where a working petroleum system
was also discovered".

I think they know or believe oil is also present and hopefully the SD1-Deep will confirm that.

Finally "South Disouq remains, however, one strand in the SDX story"
-what a strand !!!

Tremendous!!!

SOU are far from production.

SDX will be close to 6000 - 7000 BOEPD when SD1 comes on stream.

26 MMCFD!!!

That is equivalent to around 4300 BOEPD if I am correct?

At 55% NRI that is £10m - £15m net to SDX per year.
