25/7/2016 11:09 | Nice 50k buy at 13.1p just reported. Online looks good again - I can sell 100,000 at a good premium at 11.55p, whilst I can only buy a maximum 50k at 13.38p (there's also 15k available at 13.17p). | rivaldo
22/7/2016 10:16 | Finncap have calculated 1.7p historic EPS, so even better than I thought - their's is probably on shares in issue rather than fully diluted as mine was. They also note £1.4m net cash, although to my eyes there's £1.7m cash less £0.7m debt, i.e £1m net cash. Online you can both sell 100k at 11.25p, and buy similar amounts at the full 13p offer, so even stevens. I suspect SDI will pick up some tip/press interest which will help things along nicely. Finncap's 19p target seems pretty conservative to me given 1.8p forecast EPS - and a £2.3m cash pile at April'17. Plus Proreveal et al. | rivaldo
22/7/2016 08:52 | good set of results and outlook looks excellent, especially if they can find further quality acquisitions. | the prophet
22/7/2016 08:50 | Thanks timbo003. Not a lot going on then, judged on your snapshot. The number of securities currently in issue is 64,162,308 ordinary shares of 1p each. The identity, number and percentage holdings of significant shareholders are: Shareholder Number of ordinary shares Percentage of issued share capital Octopus Investments 7,706,430 12.01 Herald Investment Management 5,436,667 8.47 Harwood Capital 4,991,286 7.78 Milton Asset Management 4,991,286 7.78 Hargreave Hale 4,076,886 6.35 Dana Investments 3,496,494 5.45 Charles Stanley 2,737,542 4.27 P Evershed 2,122,193 3.31 Other 28,603,524 44.58 | mudbath
22/7/2016 08:29 | This may be helpful (snap shot at 8:26) | timbo003
22/7/2016 08:24 | >>>This_is_ Yes, I will go along again assuming the date and time are suitable and assuming it's in the same location as last year (very close to Cambridge Railway station). I made reasonably detailed notes last time, so I will be checking off their progress against the action list I compiled last year. | timbo003
22/7/2016 08:20 | rivaldo How are SDI looking from a price and size perspective this morning ? | mudbath
22/7/2016 08:11 | I take it, timbo, that you will be giving them a rough time at the next AGM. I always vote against giving directors authority to make placements and always write to any chairman of a company in which I have a shareholding to complain about any placement. It is always private shareholders that loose out. I am happy with my small holding after today's results. | this_is_me
22/7/2016 07:58 | Agreed, very happy with these results and picture going forward.Speaking with management today with coverage for next Tuesday.FinnCap has EPS of 1.8p for this year which is cheap anywhere around these levels.Only difference is a more realistic target price of 19p which I welcome. That would put the shares on a PER of circa 10 against the current circa 6. | hastings
22/7/2016 07:49 | Yes excellent improvement in this mornings results. Very cheap imv. | battlebus2
22/7/2016 07:39 | Finncap will presumably reiterate their Buy and 29p target today. With the £1m cash pile representing 12% of the m/cap, plus the potential for Proreveal - and other new products talked about today - plus 1.6p+ EPS likely this year, 29p is not an unreasonable target to aim for. | rivaldo
22/7/2016 07:30 | With the benefit of hindsight, I wish I had topped up sub 10p, but I am still smarting a bit from the dreadful way they excluded existing shareholders from the placing having told me at the last AGM that they would make every effort to include us and the rotten excuse they came up with for such a heavy discount (there was a sudden dip in the share price the day before we finalised the placing price - I've heard that one before). Note to self, write out a hundred times: I must not let emotions get in the way of investment decisions | timbo003
22/7/2016 07:21 | That was a nice surprise, I suspect those of you who were nibbling away at sub 10p a few weeks ago will be rewarded today. | timbo003
22/7/2016 07:20 | Excellent results - 1.59p adjusted EPS is better than expectations, and everything else is spot on: On a £7.4m m/cap SDI is very, very undervalued imho: - 1.59p historic adjusted EPS (fully diluted) - almost doubled on last year - £1m net cash - blue sky potential of Proreveal in for nothing - more acquisitions likely (PS : they should have published the adjusted EPS figure themselves) And very bullish comments: "The Board is confident that SDI is now in an excellent position for continued good growth through increased revenue and the potential for further acquisitions in 2016/17" "The Board expects SDI to make good progress over the coming financial year as we will continue to pursue our strategy of organic and acquisitive growth. As well as the positive contribution of Sentek, Opus Instruments and Atik, the new Synoptics products released in 2016, together with a focused sales strategy, are expected to drive continued growth. With growing interest in our products from North America, particularly in the rapid microbiology and antibiotic resistance testing sectors, the Board views the next financial year with confidence." | rivaldo
21/7/2016 11:37 | The market definitely isn't making it easy to buy these. | spooky
21/7/2016 08:35 | Ah - thx for that hastings, looking forward to them. SDI have already confirmed they will meet expectations of 1.5p EPS and a £0.8m PBT. Good to see the price move up 0.5p already today on a 5k buy..... | rivaldo
21/7/2016 07:54 | Hadn't seen that rivaldo, interesting.Results out tomorrow. | hastings
21/7/2016 07:43 | Unusually large transactions yesterday - 200,000 were bought at 11p, plus 80k and 154k at 10.5p which I suspect were also buys from earlier in the day. Hopefully this momentum will continue. | rivaldo
20/7/2016 13:49 | You could be correct rivaldo, for the bid has now risen to 10.65 pence | mudbath
20/7/2016 13:15 | Online you can now sell 150,000 at 10.25p, and only buy a maximum 5,000 at 12p. Looking extremely encouraging. | rivaldo
20/7/2016 12:31 | Nice - £1,200 of net buys today is enough to send the share price up 1.5p (and close the published spread somewhat too). | rivaldo
20/7/2016 12:06 | 10 pence bid ! | mudbath
15/7/2016 10:18 | You can now buy 70k at 11p, so they must be listening :o)) You can also sell 150,000 at 8.45p, so there's likely also a buyer for the shares out there. | rivaldo
15/7/2016 10:05 | If there is a big seller at 9p why won't they offer 100,000 at 11p. All quite amusing. | spooky
15/7/2016 10:01 | Nice tight 3p spread. | spooky |
